2016 Residual Value

I am considering a lease on the 2016 model. My thinking is with the new model Genesis 90 on the showroom floor, capitalized cost should be much, much lower than MSRP on the Equus. Does anyone know the current residual value and money factor for 3 yrs at 15K miles per year?

Below is the standard 3 yr, 10K mile Equus Signature lease information from the Hyundai Local Offers website. This lease opportunity ended on September 6th. They usually provide an update early each month.

I still think they have a looong way to go. With the 2016 Equus, Hyundai is simply moving deck chairs on the Titanic. Bottom line is 2016 Hyundai Equus 4dr Sdn Signature for $599 per month for 36 months with $2,499 due at lease signing. This is for a 10,000 mile lease. For me: that lease cost would be about 642 month with tax. First, for most people, a realistic lease is 12 or 15k per year. Second, if you have top tier credit why put money down? That $2499 down is like adding $70 to your monthly payment. Makes my real world monthly cost north of $700 To add insult to injury, they have decreased the cap cost while also decreasing the residual. $26854/$62450=43% value after 3 yrs and 30k total miles! If they want to move cars, they will have to lower the cap cost, raise the residual, and lower the money rate. I don't think they are serious yet. Most non gearhead folks don't even know about the new G90. I'm going to wait until late fall or early winter.

I agree with you
You also have to know that there are still 2015 models on dealers lots in certain areas
I bet on a retail purchase you could get 20K off the sticker
