  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I purchased new wheels and storm springs, I was wondering what you guys where selling your 19 inch 5.0 wheels for? I was going to try Craigs list and since I haven't put the new wheels on yet I didn't want to post in sell part of forums. I put 2600 miles on my tires and it will be missing the sensor (will go in new wheels) any ideas?

Probably not as much as you'd hope....

New model means little demand...too expensive to ship for most folks and too big for cheap snow tires. Where are you located?

I paid $800 for a set of 4, no sensors. Sensors are about $25 a pop.

Are you looking to sell the tires/wheels as a set, or separate?

If there's only 2600 miles on the tires (245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear) I might be interested in the tires.

But as other responses have posted, this is a relatively new model so I wouldn't anticipate huge demand for used rims. Not a huge following like other imports or Euro luxury vehicles.

As a set I'd be surprised if you could pull more than $700-$800.

Shoot me a message if you'd think about selling the tires separate.

I would be interested in just the wheels

Interested in buying if the Hankooks are on them, let me know thanks.

Interesting thought process there....looking for some free new tires?

My guess is that the original OP has already received the recall notice and had the new tires installed (if not even before the vehicle was titled/sold).

I think you'd have a hard time getting the dealer to swap them out if there's already a recall that's been performed on your vehicle.

Thx for the input! I was just looking for a ball park of how much I can get for the wheel and tire set while my new wheels and storm springs are making their way to my residence. As to answer a few questions, my genny has the continental tires which was on my car when I purchased it.I live in Georgia but can get the wheels in much of the east coast since I'm a truck driver and can request to be sent to multiple locations. I'm not selling the wheels/tires now till I have the new ones actually on my car. Like I stated earlier I just wanted to get an estimate of how much you fellow 5.0 owners sold for. In a week when my new set arives I'll post up in sell section. Thx again!

I might be interested in a front wheel/tire as a spare.

Not exactly Free but yes idea would be to turn 2600 miles tires worn in on a different car to 0 mile tires at any Hankook tire dealer. Thanks OP!

I would also be interested in wheels if in good shape and no curb scuffs.

I've seen them go for 700-1300 but depends on if they are just the rims, rims w/tires, or rims w/tires and TPMS. Of course condition also impacts the price.
