  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

One of the benefits of retirement is "time to travel". I am now able to take long road trips visiting friends and family. My 2014 now has 42K miles. For road trips it seems equal in comfort, handling, performance and gas mileage to Lexus.

Total Mileage: 6589 mi.
Approximate direct highway miles: 6120 mi. (92%)
Approximate city miles: 469 mi. (8%)
Trip duration: 24 da.
Driving days: 11 – Average driving day aprox. 600 mi.
Overall gas mileage: 25.6mpg.
Overall average speed: 60 mph.
Overnight Stops:
1. Begin Salem, OR.
2. Boise, ID
3. Green River, UT
4. Santa Fe, NM
5. Pierre, SD
6. Siren, WS
7. Balsam Lake, WS
8. Minneapolis, MN
9. Chaska, MN
10. Muncie, IN
11. Columbia, MO
12. Omaha, NE
13. Lincoln, NE
14. Evanston, WY
15. Salem, OR

Comments: Drove at 80-85 mph all across Nebraska, Wyoming and Idaho, side winds but no headwinds. Gas mileage enhancements: secondary cat deletes, lowering kit, Michelin low-rolling-resistance ties (245-45/19 on all four wheels), Mobil 1 5/30 synthetic oil.

Well you're definitely utilizing that Equus! That's for sure. Gas mileage seems pretty good for a big, heavy, comfortable luxury sedan. I'm glad you're enjoying Equus ownership!

What do you mean by Gas mileage enhancements?

Purchased our 2016 Genesis 3.8 AWD Ultimate in mid April 2016. As of Mid Sept we have 15k miles. Many trips from Southern CT to Boston (weekly), road trip to Cape Breton Island, N.S., Canada (2,100 miles), and in a few weeks from CT to our summer residence in Arizona. When in AZ we will travel througout the west before we drive back to CT in the spring. Great traveling machine.
