OK, first and foremost ... the term "extended warranty" is used incorrectly throughout the industry never mind this thread. A warranty may only be offered from the manufacture, it covers defects (parts and labor) that occur during what ever time/mileage is stated by said manufacture of whatever product is sold by said manufacture. These repairs are to be performed to make the failure perform to the standard the manufacture set at time of production or any amendment released there after within the warranty terms.
What any dealer/re-seller offers is a "contract" which is an agreement to cover failures spelled out in writing within the said agreement. VERY different things in legal terms. ANY re-seller who says "bumper to bumper" in the sell is mis-representing the facts of the product(s) being offered.
A service contract is provided/administered to repair failures of listed components within the terms and conditions of said contract including all limitations.
