  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Bought my R-Spec about 1.5 years ago and it's now time to replace the wipers.

I see they are 24" and 20", but when I look at the actual blades, there is like an aero shield with flexible edges. The blades I see online are just the blades without the aero shield thing.

How does this work and where do I buy the proper parts?

Thanks for the info!

I have tried Goodyear, Rain-X, and Bosch blades only to learn that the Hyundai premium blades work the best. No chatter, even wiping, and have decent life here in Houston. They only start streaking when it is time to replace them. They also have a neat color changing indicator visible from inside that reminds you when they are about eeady to be replaced. I grab a set every 3-4 months for ~$25.
Now my wifes TL likes the Rain-X blades for almost 50% more...

Thanks for the info! Are they only available from the dealer?

Found these on eBay, which look the same as the ones currently on the car. OEM quality does not equal OEM, typically. Thoughts?

Those look like them, but I do not see the little color change dot. Either way, here are the part numbers from my last order:

U8890-00F24 Drivers side
U8890-01F20 Passenger side

Thank you!

I actually stopped by the dealer today to see how much a set cost (about $40 not installed). But they were out of stock, so I did more research and decided to try out the set on eBay.

Let us know how they work, please.

Just received them last night and they are absolutely horrible quality. Nothing like what is shown in the picture on eBay.

It's basically a hard plastic plastic piece that connects to the wiper arm, and then the rubber wiper. There is no metal or plastic arm like what's shown in the picture. It's literally a rubber wiper and a hard plastic J connector.

Definitely going to return these.

EDIT: What I received look exactly like the attached image from a different seller.

For S&Gs, here is what was advertised, versus what was sent.

I am not sure why you think the one advertised is any good, even if they had sent you that one. Looks like it is some kind of generic brand.

Yeah, I rolled the dice on that one. Lesson learned. Going to pick up a set from the dealer tomorrow.

Probably good idea. But there are other "name brand" wiper brands besides the OEM Hyundai.
