I am interested in any problems owners have experienced with older Genesis Sedans. I have a 2011 3.8L with the full Tech Package which is now at 100K miles. I have been very fortunate and have had almost no problems and would love to keep it for another 50K+ miles.
Obviously I am running the risk of some potential expensive repairs and am curious on what experiences other owners have had with their G1's as they get older.
My windshield wiper motor went out at 92K miles and cost $820 to fix. After getting over the price shock I bit the bullet and replaced it - after all it is impossible to drive in the rain without wipers. The good news is out of the blue the new "Genesis Customer Care" group contacted me 6 months later and said the wiper should not have failed. After filling in a simple form and sending them a copy of the bill they sent me a check for the full $820. Obviously they are trying to develop a Lexus/BMW type image.
Any inputs would be useful as would to any other threads on the topic of older G1's.
