  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just wondering if there's any easier way to lift the wiper arms up than to turn the car off mid way through the wiper stroke. Not that its an overly large deal, just seems like poor design, especially for climates that get a lot of snow and ice (Hello Newfoundland!), and ESPECIALLY if you forget to lift them the night before and they freeze on. Anyone know if they have some sort of electronic gizmo or gadgetry to them to get them to lift or something? Seems everything else is so well thought out that this can't just be the way they are, hahaha.

there are specific instructions in the manual. I just did it recently but forgot the exact sequence to get them to stay in an upright position.

Yeah I read the manual when I bought the car but I missed that I guess. I'll have to take another peak back through and see what it says I spose. :)

1. Shut ignition off
2. Push stalk all the way up
3. Pull stalk toward you while stalk is still in the up position.

The blades come up to the service position.

Nice. Did this and it worked. Thanks! As a side note, there was no need to pull toward myself, just push up for a couple secs and it went into service position just fine. :)

Correct - just steps 1 & 2.
