  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The windshield wipers on my 2009 Gennie 4.6 suddenly stopped working. They moved up a few inches and gave up. Both sides. In any position on the control stalk. The washers work.

I found a blown 30amp fuse for the wipers on the right side engine box. But replacing it did not help. Cannot find reference to another fuse. A technician checked the contacts for all the fuses in the three boxes and found power to all of them.

Any suggestions on where I could look next? I am not qualified to dig into the motors nor the switch. If it could be a simple fix, I qualify as I am simple too.

Thanks for any help.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I have a 2011 4.6 sedan and recently got a letter from Hyundai saying they were extending wiper motor warranty to 100K miles. If you're under that you might check dealership.

Dear Mr/Ms Chop,

Ooooo. Thanks. On their website, I see that my vehicle qualifies. I win! Thanks much.

PS Wonder why they didn't notify me.

Have you previously received all the other recall info? Maybe the notice was mistaken for an advertisement and discarded?

I have received notices in the past. I recall a rear stop light notice sent to my prior house. Hyundai should have my address, since I go to the dealer for service. Guess I'll check when I take it in this week.

Contact HMA directly about an address change. They are the ones who send out the notices, not the dealer.

Done. Thanks!

And the site lists the warranty notice for the wipers for my car. Sweet!

I have since noticed that my trunk release button on the driver side door is not working. Likely failed at the same time as wipers. Fuse OK.

Coincidence?

Hyundai Canada has no recall. Not a happy guy right now
