  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering what your experience is with replacement high beam bulbs for the first generation Genesis? I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed looking at all the choices, and reading such mixed reviews on Amazon.

I'm in Canada, so the bulbs will be running as DRL's at all times as well.

Can anyone link me to some truly solid all-around performers for the Genny? I'm driving a 2009 with tech package.

I really appreciate it!

Osram H7 Rallye are what I will be replacing mine with. These run at 65W as opposed to the stock 55W and are an excellent choice for replacement. I ran these in my old Chrysler Crossfire's high beams and the difference was definitely noticable. I belive they are basically an H9 capsule on the H7 base, 2100+ lumens opposed to 1400 lumens.

Fantastic! Thank you :)

As a follow-up; how do you find their longevity? I ended up ordering the Philips X-Treme Vision +130%, but have heard that most of these types of bulbs have a very short life.

Thank you, Sir. I haven't replaced my OEM's in the few years I've owned the car, and I'm doubtful the original owner did. It's an '09... how on earth on they still illuminated? haha. This using them as constant DRL's as well (Canada).
