Noise

During a recent vacation I stopped several times for construction and such on the highway. I noticed a cyclic, rhythmic thut-thut-thut noise coming from the transmission area. This was noticed while stopped in drive and disappeared when I put the transmission into neutral. Any thoughts? TIA

You have the Aisin 6-speeed transmission that has been fairly reliable. That transmission was on all 2009-2011 Genesis V-6 sedans.

If you are the original owner of the car, or if it was purchased as a CPO used car, the transmission is still under warranty (10 year - 100K mile drivetrain warranty), so I would take it to a Hyundai dealer.

2nd owner. Just had a bad experience at the dealership today. So angry I couldn't get to talking to service manager.

Unless the car was purchased as a CPO (certified pre-owned), the drivetrain warranty is same as most other stuff (5 years - 60K miles).
