  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Ok so i see today that my front passenger seat headrest is moving a little to freely back & forth upon further looking i discover the inner bracket is broke but the outter shell and leather skin is still good so im posting pics to see if anyone can locate this INNER BRACKET, i tried googling the # on it to see if its a part # and got nothing back and im not looking to buy a whole headrest just to get that bracket IF I DONT HAVE TO... unless someone has a used headrest and ill just remove the inner bracket as long as the inner bracket is INTACT & NOT BROKEN

Thanks

My extended warranty covered the headrest.

Went to the dealer and of course the parts dept. guy says thats not a parts # on that bracket from inside the headrest & of course you have to order the whole headrest......

....when i purchased this vehicle i believe i did also purchase the extended warranty, so i will have to go dig thru my paper work or ill have to start checking online for used damaged genesis's and buy a used headrest , dont care about the color because i just need the bracket from inside

Thanks...

If you purchased a HPP extended warranty, it is from HMA (even if underwritten by a third party insurance company), and will be recorded in the computer system of any Hyundai dealer. Any dealer can look it up with your VIN.

Obviously, if you purchased a third party warranty, Hyundai would not know about it.

I found my bill of sale from Nov 08, meaning im about to hit 8 years WOW .......anyway on it i see JMA 120 months / 100000 miles $1995.00

That was the extended warranty

Im going back there tomorrow to the same dealer i purchased it from 8 years ago and see what they do about it....

would you know what extended plan u have, they are trying to tell me i purchased the GOLD PLUS plan NOT the Platinum plan which would cover it......they are about to feel my wrath behind that B.S. now i have to search to see if i have a copy of that plan because im not sure hes being truthful being that it was 8 years ago

still searching for a used headrest from a 2009, 2010, 2011 any color since i just need the inner bracket

It is not clear to me if you purchased the Hyundai extended warranty (offered by Hyundai Motor America, sold by any Hyundai dealer, and valid at any Hyundai dealer in the USA) or a third party plan. You can find out by calling another Hyundai dealer (not yours) and give them your VIN and ask if your car has a extended warranty in the Hyundai computer system (don't mention anything about your conversations with your dealer).

I don't know the differences between the Gold and Platinum plans, but you need to get something in writing that explains the warranty and exclusions (and not just accept verbal explanations from your dealer).
