G80 Emblem

HAve the replacement wings not changing them out. ? was where can I get the "G80" emblem to replace the "Genesis" on my 2016?

On my UK version, I have the wings front and flying 'H' rear, but I also have on the rear the words/ lettering HYUNDAI, GENESIS and 3.8. Is the lettering just stuck on? Each letter looks individual and not connected to any other letter. I didn't want to pull them off and find holes in the bodywork for posts or pins.

No one will see the engine cover except you and your Hyundai dealer, so why remove it?

I have a spare wing emblem of the 2015 style so thought I might just use it up.

BTW, my car is starting to feel smoother and pulls better using Shell V Power.

I can believe that, but if you tried a mid-grade (or mix your own with half regular and half premium when you fill up) I think you would notice the same benefits on the V6.

What is the best way to remove the location posts/ tabs from the rear of the wing emblems?
A neighbour of mine tells me that whenever he removes emblems, he pours boiling water over them. Any comments?

It's the heat that softens the glue...hair dryers work great and probably safer than hot water...and no mess

Yes I ordered one 2 months ago from Korea.....it took 7 weeks to get it (tied up in customs )
I don't think I'm going to install it because I think it's too large for my liking (it was an OEM Hyundai product)

2015 Genesis Sedan Technology 3.8 AWD

I received G80 and Htrac emblem for the rear of my car.


This is how it looks like right now. The old owner removed it.


I don't have any reference where the G80 and the 3.8 Htrac should go? Can someone please give me some measurements or ideas? It seems harder to get it right. I need to know what is the distance from the G to the left of the truck panel and to the bottom of the truck panel. I looked for a template but couldn't find one. Some help will be appreciated. Thanks.

if you don't have measurements, may be you can tell me how you have installed it.

I found a high resolution picture online and was able to make a template from it. It worked out pretty good. Too a long time but very close to perfect.

And time for the front emblem...still bigger than the original. But the mounting posts do not line up *at all*, and they are even different sizes/shapes. So get out the Dremel grinder and lay down some reference tape.

I recently got a 2015 3.8 AWD, I just purchase the whole 2017 emblem kit from Amazon for $60 ( front, back wings, G80 and 3.8 HTRAC emblems, I was lucky to find it cause it was the last one from a US seller. I can't wait to put them on except the 3.8 one. I'm glad this thread was made so I know what it would look like on the car. Thanks celltech..

I checked them first and to get what I wanted, came out too expensive... So I search for better pricing and I came out with this.


Unfortunately I got the last one that was sold in the states. They got the kits but it will take a month to get them coming from Korea. I'm one of the lucky ones
