  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Am I the only one who has a major pet peeve with this???

I find it unacceptable that this reflection of the sunlight is blinding and extremely unsafe especially without sunglasses.
The reflections of the vents is unreal!

does anyone have any thoughts on how I can remove them?
I thought of painting them a flat black but have no idea how to do it.

Please help!

Here's a picture of what I mean

I notice it, but it's not enough to really bug me. FWIW, most of the new cars I've owned have had some sort of reflection from shiny bits on the interior. The worst being my Passat which had a large bright chrome faceplate surrounding the gear knob.

Do you have tinted windows?

I would go the tint route if it bothers you that much. Painting the chrome accents seems like a very tedious option.

Guys,
Thanks for responding. My windows are tinted. The reflections is mostly coming from above through the windshield. When the sun is above and a little behind, man is it ever bad!!!!

There's gotta be a way to remove the dam reflections.

i am going to put something on mine that i can take down when there are no reflections.... i agree it is a big distraction.

I hear you brother. When it's bright it's hard to see the blue lights on the HVAC controls too. Polarized sunglasses do wonders for cutting out glare caused by glass, chrome or out on the ocean. Unlike BMW's you can actually see the radio with them on!
