  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Android Auto available in Canada with map update V10

I ordered and installed version 107S51 in December just after it came out. It does NOT include Android Auto or Apple Car Play.

When is Version 11 coming out?

Everyone - I can confirm that this does not work (at least on my '15 Genesis Touch). I was in the US last week and ordered the US version of the update and shipped it to my location in the US. When I returned into Canada and went to do the install it failed due to a hardware compatibility issue, Hyundai must be blocking it onto the Canadian version of the cars.

It's pretty shady the way they have it on the web page, if you read below Car Play and Android Auto it says Elantra GT and Tucson. It almost qualifies for false advertising.

Anyone with the Ultimate get the latest version in Canada. I like the idea of the 3D maps, but $250 for that and some updated "Places" is hard to justify.

You should have seen that page when the map just updated. It listed Genesis 15-17 as compatible models and I purchased right away. They took the page down and updated it with what you see now. It is a good car but I am just waiting for my lease term to finish to say bye to Hyundai (Genesis).

Thank you for confirming. What is your opinion on the upgrade outside of it not having Android Auto or Apple Car Play? Anything you notice that you like compared to your previous version (maps or software). I have 2015 Genesis Technology with the original software/maps (ST.DH.CAN.E443.140701 / NAM.06.50.71.009.001)

Just looking to see if it would be worth it.

Addition of 3D map would be the only major and noticeable difference.

So probably not a wise investment at this time. I would have been all over this for Apple or Android.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I got an email. It seems the Android Auto and CarPlay is finally here.

I took the plunge, aaaannd......it works! Both CarPlay and Android Auto seem to work fine.
Download to SD card took about an hour, then download to car took 30 mins. I am an iPhone user(6plus), my daughters Samsung S8+ was much much snappier. I was impressed by AA, the emojis are funny too.

All in all everything went as planned, and the price was right:)

Well done Hyundai!!

Yes. I installed it today. And it works. I love it......and it is FREE
On the map update site you need to pay $175 for the upgrade. But this site is free. I guess this is only Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. No map updates with it.
But you don’t need any. Since I will be using Apple maps.
Thanks Hyundai for finally putting it out there. A lot of other companies will forget about us, cars with 2015 model.

My maps updated when I did this. Speed limits are correct now. It shows missing roads. It was 10GB of files, I would guess that is lots of map updates.

Definitely a map update with this. Also, CarPlay is very buggy. I have to double click almost everything, and music is not working properly, will only play the same 3 songs. Siri still doesn’t like my voice!
