Windshield wiper motor/sensor problem

I have the same problem on my 2009 Genesis 4.6. Apparently, the recall is just for the US car and doesnt apply to the Canadian car. I dont beleive them. I dont think they've built acanadian car with a different wiper motor. The dealer wanted 700$ plus installation for a new wiper motor. CRAZY!!!!! I bought one used for 100$ and installed it myself.

I am sure it is the same motor. But Hyundai Motor America (HMA) and Hyundai Canada are two different companies. Recalls are not issued in Korea, they are issued by HMA or Hyundai Canada.

I have a similar problem. Been to dealer 4 times the auto mode would not work. They replaced the sensor on the windshield and it would work sometimes. This week totally stopped working in a downpour. Getting tired of the inability of Hyundai to fix my 2014 Equus. Will ask to have motor replaced for wipers. Ifthey don’t will file a complaint with Feds and take the company to task on line. Just tired of wasting my time.
