  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Decided to get the windows tinted. Mostly due to the supposed added protection for the interior since I have beige, not one to really care for the "aesthetics". Drove to work today without any climate control to get an idea (did the same thing before getting tinted) and there has been a subtle but noticeable difference in temperature. Took longer to warm up inside from the sun, as suspected. Can't give it a long-term review, as I just picked it up last night, but since there were threads asking about how tint looked and whatnot, decided to post pictures for those interested.

I got the LLumar FormulaOne Ceramic Tint at 35%, which ended up metering at around 34% on the car. I also got Air80 on the windshield, had heard a couple bad things about it, but looks good so far.

Note- first picture is without tint for comparison

I think it looks good. If it protects the interior, so much the better.
Curious about the white tab, just below the passenger side headlight.
That is not on my car. What is it?

Thats the high pressure headlamp washer. And hump, you will thanks yourself for the tint later on, guaranteed. getting front done is essential too, many ppl on here have the same 80 up front. I know you say you aren't sure aboot the aesthetics, but it looks great, promise. Ultimately your leather will thank you. I got llumar as well, I think we have the same stuff, i just got the highest end stuff they had since I didn't like the color choices from 3m, bout 500 for the whole car. Hopefully you got the roof done too, if not, give it some thought, course Im in TX, it's mandatory.

Looks nice. I have the same tint but air blue 80 on the windshield makes all the difference, I don't have to keep the fan on high to try to combat the sun's rays. I have air blue on my moon roof too but it doesn't seem to be as effective as the windshield tint, I probably should've gone darker. Luckily (or unluckily?) you don't have to worry about that.

Yep, it's a headlamp washer. Only on AWD models, along with those rear heated seats

Heh I assume by roof you mean sunroof, which unfortunately I do not have. I'm pretty tall, so I couldn't part with those couple of inches that a sunroof takes away, so I was stuck with a base model.

Based on the number of complaints about sunroof noise (even when it is closed), you shouldn't feel like you are missing much.

I have Air Blue 80 all around, except for the windshield which I left stock. I didn't want the conflict with my polarized sunglasses.

I haven't actually had any issues whatsoever with my polarized sunglasses and the Air80 on the windshield, testing with a couple of different pairs (Ray-Bans and Robert Grahams, YMMV). The only quirks I've experienced thus far is a very slight grainy texture on the windows, which is quite subtle, as well as a vertical diffraction when looking out the rear window at night. Think of what you see when you squint at a light at nighttime
