If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Swapped the OEM yellow halogen bulbs for some 6000K plug and play LEDs. These are super close to the OEM HIDs. The fogs are don't lose any functionality; the hi-beams are slightly less bright than stock. ~$50 to replace both pairs of lights.

So far so good. Will update here after some time

Looks good!

Probably the first thing I did when I bought the car was to put in white lights (DRL, Fogs, Trunk). I find most low power LEDs aren't particularly bright for daytime use or high beams and I think they're illegal as high beams here, so I used halogens. For the fogs, LEDs scatter more light than stock or aren't focused properly, but they look so much better and match the LED strip.

I think my fogs cost like $8 and $10 or $20 for the high beams/DRL because I wanted to make sure those are actually bright too.

Looks great! Super jealous of your lack of front license plate.

I did this to mine. The high beams don't work like OEM high beams do though. LED looks better but it scatters when turned on at night, not as bright.

Agreed. These are more form over function

How hard was it to replace the bulbs? Did you have to remove the bumper? I just changed my wife's sonata and let me tell you for a guy with big hands, it was not fun to cramp my hand in there to change the bulbs. I think i would rather go to the dealership and pay the fee then end up with 7 cuts on my hand.

Are the bulbs still working normally? Only been a month or 2 but wanted to double check. I would like to change at least my fog lights also. the DRLs are simply annoying as is but I have seen some Genesis 1st G around here with LEDs in the DRL/High beams and honestly, it doesn't look that great during the day...

Still like these? Are they to dim at night? I hate the yellow lights that I have right now and want my DRL and fogs to match my HID as closely as possible.

So with the plug in play HIDs, if you didn't get the nicer kits the EMI coming off the ballast will trigger the tpms malfunction light to come on at night.

Take it for what its worth, plug and play LEDs and HID kits in foglights are downgrades in night vision under all weather conditions. Not to mention you're tossing a LOT of light up into other drivers' faces. Don't be that guy or girl.

I would like to know how to replace the dtr light bulbs. I can't figure out the plug on the dtr lights. I also can't get to the driver side plug. So did you take the headlights out? And did you have to take the bumper off to get the headlight out?

Yeah I guess it's a Canadian thing. Nothing worse than that plate in the front but off to the side, yuck.

It doesn't have to be. I'm getting the front license plate holder for the center of the bumper.
