  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I made the thread a few months back with LAP3 and getting hyped. At this point, I am done waiting for them, its sad to me that Koreans can't find time to tune the 5.0's or have any love for them. Whatever, I also thought, man I gotta try to find more KDM companies that can tune my car, but yeah there are very few and they either have not succeeded, or play the part of procrastination. Anyways, to the actual good part, I reached out to a German company near me, and reached out to a company in New Zealand. I asked if their tools support ME17.9.1, both companies said yes they do. Both companies have a wide variety of tuning experience, Lamborghini, Porsche's, Ferrari, Audi R8, and even a F1 car! So the New Zealand company said we can do a send your ECU service for $1150 NZD about ($850USD) not including shipping cost. Here's his words, "You could send us ecu's to tune. We would have to bench tune them. Would only be able to tune them for basic mods like exhaust and intakes." Also, I'd like to say $850 is a hell of a lot better than the $1200 LAP3 was initially charging for the 5.0 tunes. The 2nd Company is located near me, and is more ideal for me but its at a rate of starting at $1200, which I understand, because I am being tuned to forced induction, and hell yeah if New Zealand was close I'd pay the $850 any day. So the hard part about this, I know you guys always want results before anything, and that's understandable. Sadly to say, since I mentioned I am going the forced induction path, I cannot spend money to send my ECU for basic bolt-ons. Also I'd like the add, the other company is very confident about tuning any Bosch ECU, if anyone has a picture of the 2nd Gen 5.0 ECU, be highly appreciated, I will send to them, and see if their tools support it. If either company can infact tune 1st and 2nd gen 5.0's I would like to know how many people interested in this. I am liking how its looking, we have options for once, instead of waiting on one company.. Oh and for any Equus owners, I think its the same ME17.9.1 so I don't think you're left out!

I might be able to get a photo of the second generation 5.0 ECU if I remember to snap a photo.
