  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just curious, I can't watch every network, but I see zero Genesis advertising. I see more ads for Lexus, BMW, Audi, etc. during a single commercial break than all the Genesis ads ever. In fact, I can only recall once seeing an ad on ESPN when I was out for lunch at some chicken place. Doubt they can grow the brand by word of mouth only.

I agree, I have seen nothing. I get the feeling they are trying to use print media and reviews, pretty low key but according to them, that is on purpose.

Agreed , seemed to me most Genesis ads were associated with the NFL last year and nothing since. and if their going get serious about the brand definitely need to ramp up the advertising.
Lexus and Audi are front and center on the big networks.
Come on guys wanta see something to brag about!!

Genesis spends significant amounts of money on advertising golf tournaments, both men and women. I see their ads on TV every week. Genesis was (and will continue to be) the title sponsor of the LA Open (now called the Genesis Open). This is one of the better known events on the PGA tour and attracts a very good field, and is played at the Riviera Country Club. Tiger was runner-up twice in 1998 and 1999. Mickelson is a two time winner. Arnold Palmer won 3 times. Current world number 1 ranked golfer Dustin Johnson is the defending champ.

Most luxury brands like Acura and Lexus (not sure about others) have the majority of their sales in the SUV/CUV space, not to mention that the G70 is not available yet, so Genesis is somewhat limited in what they can offer their target audience at this point. If the other luxury brands are any indication, I would expect the G70, and the upcoming SUV/CUV's (all three are planned to be available in the next couple years), each to be greater than G80 or G90 sales.

Not a golfer, however I may need to tune to the golf channel to see what might pop up.

Just saw a G80 commercial last night for the first time ever. On the Firestone golf tournament coverage.

Great to know. I am a Tennis fan myself and of course Mercedes and Lexus have those tournaments locked up. Will have to try looking in on the golf channel more often.

Genesis is not going to advertise at every golf tournament, especially since MB, BMW, Cadillac, and Honda/Acura are already prominent tournament sponsors on the PGA tour. Lexus is a big USGA sponsor (the US Open, etc is run by the USGA, not the PGA Tour) and a lot of individual golfers (who wear the logos on their clothing).

Kia is big on the LPGA (women's tour), not surprising since Korean women dominate the LPGA tour. Kia is also big in the NBA.

I believe that just about all Genesis commercials are on YouTube, so that may be the easiest place to see them, at least until next February during the Genesis Open.

When a tournament is sponsored by a auto manufacturer, not only do they pay millions for that, they supply all the courtesy cars that the golfers drive around during the week. Most tournaments have about 150 entrants, plus cars for tournament officials who come from out of town.

Our car was one of those courtesy cars. Bought it in Dallas, but it had directions to a hotel in Maui on the nav system. Had 300 miles on the clock when the Dallas dealer got it.

Our three local area Hyundai dealers, who also carry the Genesis brand, don't even mention Genesis in their newspaper ads. Incredible, since they also have no Genesis signage on their storefronts! Sort of a stealth marketing program, no?!

Dealer marketing and Genesis Motors (or HMA) marketing are two different things. As far as signage, those dealers may not be slated to be a Genesis Motors dealer long term, and signage is expensive.

Just was watching a show I had recorded earlier. Turn Washingtons spy's.
And damned if there wasn't a Genesis commercial shown!!😳

My three local dealers sell the Genesis. Marketing is marketing. Lack of marketing is lack of marketing. Lack of marketing = less sales.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!

Reports are that they will be accelerating the separation of Hyundai and Genesis into separate dealerships, so maybe you should contact Genesis Motors and tell them you want to buy a Genesis Motors dealership. Then you can spend your marketing dollars and get rich.

Thanks, I'll do that. Then maybe we won't have to hear from you about those golf ads again next year like we did this year and last year too. It's time you got a new shtick.

People asked about Genesis ads, and I just stated the facts. It's not a shtick.

Being a title sponsor of a PGA Tour Golf tournament (the LA Genesis Open) is a serious and expensive marketing commitment.

Just saw CBS Sunday Morning show this morning. Prominent G80 ad 10 minutes from the beginning. Nationwide exposure very cool.
At the end they advertise 2017 Genesis G80 for $399 a month for 36 months $3,000 due at signing No security deposit. Requires $1000 valued owner coupon or competitive order coupon

IIRC, it took a while for Hyundai ads to become well established and now I see a few of them every day. I've only seen a handful for Genesis so far. My guess is they are waiting until they have new models and then you will see the ads pick up. Azera is being dropped, but a G70 will be added.

The Genesis G80 Sport was advertised a short while ago on Golf Channel, during broadcast of the Dell Technologies Championship, part of Fed-Ex cup playoffs. The tournament will run today thru Monday on Golf Channel or on NBC.
