  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis Model Type
Equus (2011-2016)
I may be a few days away from taking home a 2013 Equus. Is there anything about this year I should be concerned about? Car looks like very well kept and maintained.
I'm disappointed to find out the rear seat adjustment's headrest adjustment is a faux button, only for looks, why would they do that? I understand it is functional for the Ultimate model.
Also, Is the rear passenger able adjust the temp. for the rear? Or are they taking on temp of the driver or front passenger controls rear's cabin's temp?
Lastly, is the original Factory warranty transferrable?

The Ultimate apparently has headrest adjustment for the rear that the Signature Model does not have. I guess it was cheaper to must make the button non-functional, than to change a bunch of other parts and have no button at all. You seem a little picky for someone buying 4 year old used car.

The 5 year - 60K mile (which ever comes first) manufacturers warranty is transferable. The 10 year - 100K extended powertrain (basically internal engine parts and transmission) warranty is only for the original owner, unless the used car is sold as a CPO (certified pre-owned) by a Hyundai Dealer. You would have to get documentation that the car was a CPO to get the extended warranty. Or you could purchase your own extended warranty.

Other warranties, like the required federal warranty on the emissions systems, are transferable.

I don't now about the rear temperature controls.
