Quick Post - did this upgrade twice....once on my wife's sedan, and then on my 2015 Genesis Sedan.

1. Order OEM LED lights and wires from ebay
a) Here's a link to the lights http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-OEM...nesis-Sedan-/152637164100?hash=item2389e24a44
b) Here's a link to wires http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Genuine-Fog-Wiring-Harness-Connector-2EA-For-2015-2016-HYUNDAI-Genesis-Sedan/232239538608?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
2. Raise nose of vehicle using jack and jackstands, or car ramps
3. Remove plastic fasteners from front underbody panel (approx 12)
4. Remove (5) 10mm hex bolts from front underbody panel
5. Set underbody panel aside
6. Remove (5) 8mm hex nuts from both right and left blank panels (these are plastic panels that cover the foglight openings on your 2015 Genesis Sedan). You can identify the location of these bolts by looking at your new foglights and noting the holes around the perimeter of the light. After you remove these, the blank will fall away easily, or with a gentle push from the front towards the rear of the car.
7. Test fit each foglight to identify the correct side for each - there is a right and left foglight.
8. Note the location of the threaded studs that are attached to the car at the foglight location. Several of these will be hard to access once the light is in place so you'll need to remember where they are.
9. Insert the right foglight into the right opening. Refasten the (5) 8mm nuts. Foglight will seat in the opening of the bumper.
10. Insert a mini fuse tap into one of the accessory fuse locations (20 amp) but install only a 10amp fuse for the foglight circuit. The fuses are located to the left and below the steering wheel on the dash.
11. Run the power line from the fuse tap through the grommet in the firewall that provides access to the hood release.
12. Attach a ground wire to the bare bolt under the hood, just in above the left front wheel. This will provide ground to your foglights.
13. Connect power to your wiring harnesses noting the correct polarity. LED lights only work when the polarity is correct, so if your lights do not illuminate with your first approach (positive to wire A, ground to wire B), switch the connection (positive to wire B, ground to wire A).
14. Once you have determined the correct polarity, connect both lights.
15. Wrap the wires with friction tape at points where the wires might repetitively rub against metal and other components. I used plastic conduit to protect my wires.
16. Wire tie the wires every 16" to ensure that the wires will not oscillate while driving at any speed. Movement is OK, but constant repetitively movement is not.

Good luck!
David

The link to the lights is not working. What about turning the lights on and off? Is there a switch that is already on the car that is utilized?
Thanks for the write-up.

The ones that didn't come with the fog lights does not have that switch on the control stalk. You might be able to switch this part out though.

Sounds almost like bad grounding issues.

I'll reply to each question in turn.

1. Here are several links to sources for OEM foglights (ebay, ebay, amazon....searched "HYUNDAI GENESIS SEDAN 2015 OEM FOGLIGHTS"). Note the Amazon link does not include wires.

2. Regarding switches, 2016 and later Genesis Sedan's have a switch on the turn signal stalk. It is much more involved to remove the 2015 stalk and replace it with the switched part (new turn signal stalk), and the new stalk costs over $500. Since these are low powered and quite simple, I simply selected a switched fuse (your cigarette lighter/accessory fuses are switched) so the lights come on when the car is started, and go off when the car shuts off. However, adding a switch is simple. You can switch either the ground wire or the power wire; choose either one, and "break" or cut the wire. Power or ground goes from the source to one side of the switch, and then you must connect a wire from the other side of the switch to the lights (wherever you cut the wire). Mount the switch where you'd like (I am in the process of selecting a location to mount mine so I can't suggest anything yet) and you're set.
3. If your lights go off and then on again, you've chosen to power the lights from a non-switched source, or a source that switches off and then back on. I had this effect on a BMW that I worked with. Choose another power source for the lights and you should be fine.

Best of luck,
David

So, I would like to add fogs to my 2015 Genesis. With your set up, are the fogs turned on and off with the headlight switch, or do I need to install a completely new switch? Does your 2015 have a switch to control the fog lights even though they did not come factory installed (the lights I mean)? I'm confused by all this. I want to install the fogs to give my '15 an updated look, but I'm concerned about where to switch then or what is involved to get them an on/off switch.

Hello everyone, I just joined when I was doing research about the fog lights for my Genesis. Let me first thank the gentleman who explained thoroughly how to mount the fog lights and run the wiring to the dash, I can only say I needed someone to explain it like that. A video would be so much appreciated of course, maybe pictures if too hard. I need help finding the right fog lights with the right switch and the fuse location you talked about. I also noticed this subject sort of left unresponded for since elast month.
I am really hoping I get some answers and links here. Thank you all waiting to hear back.

I just added the factory fog lights and i bought a OEM multi switch stalk that has the fog light button on it. I didn't have the wiring in the harness near the front bumper cover so I had to run wiring through a relay and to the inside fuse box area and tie into the wires coming from the switch.
they work just like factory and even turns on the light in the instrument cluster. works great

Hello to all:

Brand new newbie here, just purchased a 2015 3.8 with 31K on the odometer. I am surprised I don’t see driving lights on the car as it seems to have every available option, and pictures of the 2015 online showed them.

Here is a picture of my lights arm on the tree: does anyone know if this means mine has the switch that can run them, and, any chance it came wired for them?

Thanks in advance.

2015 Gen 5.0 has the fog light stalk. New stalk/lever is probably near identical to the 2016 version and likely the same price.

Ah shit. 😐

Ok, I wasn’t sure what the second emblem was on mine. 😑

Ok, well, guess I might be waiting on these then... 🤨

Top to bottom on the 3.8 stalk:
1.Headlamp position (headlights, parking lights, license plate lights-rear all on).
2. Parking lamp position (just parking lights and license plate lights-rear are on).
3. Auto position (parking lights & headlights go on automatically depending upon amount of light outside the vehicle).
4. DRL OFF (driving lights off)

Learning a lot here... just got back from trip to big box stores getting bathroom fixtures. Son running with me says the DRL are orange....??? My Mom’s ‘06 DTS are like that... 🙄 One click up from auto gives exactly what his 2017 Legacy looks like (read: cool).

Hello to all. Nice to be back. I've been so busy I haven't even been able to wash the car by hand, even though I've now had it about a month.

So I'm eager to get this installed as I thought they were actually there when I bought the car. Seems odd they are blanks. Whatever -- Found this kit on eBay:

Genuine LED Fog Light Lamp DRL Assy LH RH For 2015 2016 Hyundai Genesis Sedan 192088048361 | eBay

I really like the idea of running them to an accessory fuse box so they just come on every time..

This kit ok in your eyes?

I dont think 2015 models had them except for maybe the Ultimate series.
Looks good from here... I think all of those that come out of south K are from the OEM manufacturer.

Great and thanks! Can’t wait to get them in.

I did this mod on my 2015 Ultimate a few months ago. The wire harness that I ordered had ALL the pins reversed. After fixing that, then swapping out the OEM stalk. It was plug and play. It was a great mod.

Where did you find your OEM stalk and harness? How bad was taking the steering wheel off?
