New 2012 Genesis 4.6 owner wanting to say hello!!!

Hi,

Ive been a Honda/Acura owner 14 times since 00'. After not seeing anything new that i liked from the brand, I decided this was a good time to make a change. So after looking at Hyundai Azera's and Genesis', I found a nice grey one with the Mocha colored leather. I'm also a paraplegic so I'mm still waiting for the hand controls to be installed so i can take my 1st joy ride up the freeway. I live in Wlmington, NC which is well know for the home of the show Dawson's Creek an One Tree Hill to name a few. There are a few questions I have. I'm a fan of blue mood lighting which the Azera had on dash and doors. I'd like to replace the bulbs in the front footwells to blue LED. I'd like to know the bulb size. This is the 1st car I wont mod because I hate after putting intake/exhaust on these cars, it makes this luxury car sound like a Z28/Mustang. I would like to swap the stock air filter for a K&N drop-in in the name of more mpgs for the 4.6. Its been nice finding an informative forum for this car guy with a large following. I'll be sure to post vids of me getting my body and chair into the car since thats the 1st questions I get.

Welcome to the most AWESOMEST Genesis board around! Glad you found us and glad you made the choice to purchase a Genny! I am sure you will love as much as I have and everyone else on this board. Your mods will be great and you will have so much fun.

As far as an exhaust, if you go mild with it like a MagnaFlow or quiet Borla (not a full exhaust just an Axleback) you should be in the stock noise area until WOT If you want CAI/SAI you can make one if they do not have one available. I have yet to do this but need to as I drive lots of miles each week from Wilmington NC!

Welcome to the forum! Congrats on your purchase, your going to love the Genny, I know I love mine. As far as the lip spoiler goes I'll let someone else respond. This is also going to be the 1st car I've owned that I plan to keep un-modded. I know the mod sickness well. If I add a spoiler, which I think may look really good, it will start the avalanche. I have a sickness and can't stop once I start. I'm almost a year in and haven't done a thing. I'm trying to stay strong. Lol.

Thats it. As far as lighting, ill change all interior incandescent bulbs to LED and DRL to HID and fog to 3000k halogen or HID bulbs and that's it. I didn't do much to my Acura TL either. Just updated the lighting to newer technology.
