Is it possible to replace just the large "radiator grill" without changing over to the whole G80 Sport bumper assembly? I would also need to replace the smart cruise "radar" panel with one that has the mesh style pattern of the sport grill.
Look very nice ...
how much for Radiator grill and Bumper ?
Piggy backing on this thread, has anyone attempted to swap JUST the grills? A Genesis trained sales rep was telling me you CAN do a direct swap of the G80sport grill onto a G80 and I wanted to confirm prior to purchasing one. I cannot do a bumper swap due to having fog lights and would also like to retain the front radar.
Thanks!
Thanks for the reply 1FstYota. I may just grab the assembly from the dealership and give it a whirl. First I need the car to show up at my doorstep though lol! Longest 10 days of my life..
That would actually be a HUGE help! I'd love to know how off or how close the measurements are.
I grabbed a 2015 Black 5.0 Ultimate RWD out of Illinois. My only regret was not driving it the 1500 miles home lol.
Luckily we don't see much snow down in South Texas haha!
And I would love to do the sport bumper conversion, but my fog lights would be in the way and disconnecting them is probably a bad idea (I suppose..)
Loving your swap though, color matching, great lines, really came out excellent. I would 100% assume (and be nearly correct) that It was a g80 sport if I saw it on the street.
The only thing that is not correct is the white mirror covers and the satin silver trim around the windows. Other wise front, sides and rear are all done. I had a guy drive past me in a 15 white genny today doing a double take. lol
I can tell you that the sport grill doesn't line up with regular bumper. I tried that and the sport grill is about 1/4" too wide. If you want the sport grille you have to change out the whole bumper! I just did that and it came out good! You can check it out on IG under Socal_G80
