  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Saw my first G90 heading back from Denver yesterday. Driving up on it, I could tell it was one. I remember seeing a similarity picture between that and a S Class I think it was. Never once did I think it was that.

Anyways, drove up next to him on I-25N and looked over. I usually try and stay even with a driver if I give them a nod. He didn't so much as even blink. I was in my Genesis and figured he'd notice. Negative... Hopefully this wasn't because of snob-appeal and it was his lack of situational awareness. Usually, when someone is driving an "enthusiast" or "out-of-the-ordinary" car, they are aware of other cars on the road, as am I.

Cheers to ya

Dan

People who drive a G90 don't associate with lowly G80 owners. It is beneath them, and they don't even like you posting in their forum unless you own a G90.

^^^ This... and beside that - he may have thought you were a stalker driving a 2015 "Hyundai"

You love to stir up dissent. Did you do your weekly rant about how you know so much more than the lazy Genesis management yet?

He probably thought you were in a Chrysler 300 lol.

this I can believe! I’ve had four people at different times all observe my parked black 5.0 and ask about my “Chrysler 300..” A few thought it was a model variation on the BMW 5-Series. Yesterday I pulled up next to a black 300 at a light and the difference between our vehicles is considerable.

Chryslers 300s are shaped like a cardboard box !!

You need to get a life. It was just in jest.

But then again, you are a G90 owner, aren't you?

It could be that he's just a run of the mill automobile owner. Not a forum goer, enthusiast, or even fanboy. He could just be some middle aged dude who wanted the best deal on a car with a V8 and rear sunshades.

In all honesty, even as an avid forum goer and car enthusiast, I can't stand wavers. I don't need to feel some sense of camaraderie between myself and a total stranger because we both drive an E30, Mini, Jeep, or random Korean entry level luxury car. Go wave to people you know, weirdo. Bah Humbug.

If I were to guess, he was about 45. This may sound stereotypical and harsh but he was oriental which means they age very well. He couldn't been 70 but I'll stick to 45.

Like most of you pointed out, probably someone who bought it just to buy it, not knowing what it was. Oh well

The racism is subtle. JK lol I've see couple Koreans driving G90s when they drive they don't see anything around them.

if you don't like wavers don't buy a motorcycle. I traded in my Harley (couldn't afford the Spring collection riding gear) and bought a reliable Honda Goldwing.
everyone waves. Let me clarify that single Harleys wave at me, groups of Harleys don't. Guess the groupers think they're all driving G90s

He's probably still staring into the abyss like he was yesterday. Nothing against the guy, around Fort Collins on 25N, traffic speeds can hit 85MPH. "Paying attention"

HA, I tried to warn you. But for facts, look at Jackie Chan, he could pass for 40 and he's 56.

lol, I'm 36 people think I'm late mid 20s.

I've seen one Genesis in IL today, heading east on I-80, was it you?

Don’t know who you’re referring to but I wasn’t on I-80

I have a good friend who is Chinese who I genuinely thought was just a couple years into drinking age for the longest time, then I found out he's 10 years older than me. I hate every single person from such fortunate genes. I lost my ****ing hair at 23 lol.

Just a heads up from the political correctness police: Things like cars and rugs are oriental - people are asian.

I ride a motorcycle (an oriental motocycle!), and consider myself a motorcyclist rather than a "biker" (who ride Hardley Dangerouses).

Many bikers won't wave to rice rocketeers, and vice versa, and BMW riders don't wave to anyone.

It's a sore point on most motorcycle forums.

I try not to lose sleep over it.

LOL, losing hair at 23 is rough. Rogaine works wonders for the right individual.
