  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone,

My name is Chris, and I am the manager at the newly-opened Genesis Mississauga Boutique. We are located in Square One mall in Mississauga, Ontario, on the western edge of Toronto. Like many of you, I am a car enthusiast, and continue to be extremely impressed by the quality, content, and performance of Genesis vehicles. In fact, it's why I specifically chose the brand, myself!

As many of you are no doubt aware, Genesis has a number of exciting new vehicles in the pipeline, with the G70 performance luxury sedan due to be released this month! I have experienced the car in person and I'm here to confirm all of the positive news and hype you've been hearing. This car is set to be a true game-changer for our brand. I am absolutely blown away by the level of craftsmanship, as well as the degree of performance that's on tap. And of course, like any of our vehicles, all G70 models will come with a full five-year/100,000km comprehensive warranty, five years of complimentary maintenance, and the complete Genesis at Home ownership experience. This bespoke customer service plan is rewriting the ownership experience in the premium car segment. As an owner, you, and your time, are valued above all else. From your first experience drive, where we bring the model of your choice to your home or office, right through to your vehicle being picked up whenever it requires maintenance - while we leave you another comparable Genesis vehicle - you will always be our highest priority.

My goal is to introduce myself and speak with as many of you as possible in the days and months ahead. I am eager to answer whatever questions you might have about our brand and vehicles. I encourage you to speak with me directly, or to visit our boutique at your convenience if you'd like to experience any of our models in person.

Our website address is https://www.genesismississauga.ca/ should you wish to explore any of our models online.

I look forward to sharing in your community!

Warm regards,

Chris Lyons

Welcome to the forums.

Thanks very much!

You should do a video review of the G70 and driving impressions. The 3.3t engine is pretty good, now it should shine in a g70 chassis or even a coupe and a bit more power.

Oh we absolutely plan to get video up once we receive our cars. They are arriving any day now. There is an embargo on the cars until the beginning of May, where cars are going to be provided to the media for assessment. After that date, though, you can be sure to see and hear my/our impressions asap.

And yes, the 3.3T is outstanding. Hugely flexible (max torque coming in sub-2k rpms). It's going to pull HARD in the G70, considering it's already strong in the G80 sport, and the G70 weighs around 600lbs less, with a more dynamic chassis.

Can't imagine what the tuners will eventually get out of it, too!

That sounds nice, the g80 sport's biggest issues is weight. I guess we will find out how good the chassis is in the g70. Tuners already getting 430whp and 500 ft lbs of toq out of this motor. if they can crack the ECU more and run exotic fuels, 700 is easily done.

Yes, the G80 Sport is a heavy car, but it still moves - 0-60 in the very low 5's. Of course, it's not a BMW M car around the corners, but it's still very competent and can generate more than a few smiles.

That said, the G70 is 2 NFL linemen lighter, so the basic math says the car is going to be substantially quicker and more agile. As for the aftermarket power numbers, it's a very intriguing thought. 420-450hp/450-500tq would be outstanding in this car. 700 would require some serious work on the internals I should imagine. But for those so inclined!

Man, I like your assessment, def not your typical salesman rehearsing specs of the brochure.

I'm glad you approve! I'm definitely a car enthusiast, and have owned several highly-modified vehicles over the years, with a couple making 500+ rwhp. I appreciate the engineering that goes into these modern cars, and love to see what they are capable of when they're uncorked.

Cool, what did you guys have that made over 500+ rwhp?
