So the G80 Sport doesn't have a factory installed catch can? Seems like an oversight for GDI engine.

Not sure to be honest. I watched a video on YouTube about the pitfalls of GDI engines and the narrator said that some newer models were including catch cans to reduce the fuel recirculating into the valve. Perhaps I am misremembering.

I did misremember. But it begs the question, why aren't these installed? It seems that it will cause a lot of issues down the road for manufacturers and their customers. Especially in the cases of long powertrain warranties, you'd think that this is going to cost everyone a lot in the long run.

I'm not sure... I've had a few very high powered cars with forced induction and never used an oil catch can...

You don't need a Catch Can With the 3.3T or the 5.0. It's simply a waist of money.
