  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Introducing the Genesis G70 Luxury Performance Sedan

Not a fan of all the dark chrome and tires on the v6. Wish there were options.

Anyone getting calls from Genesis asking if they want the new G70 3.3TT when released late July/early August. I was expecting late May/June so that caught me off guard. Just curious if G80 Sport owners are getting these calls. Yes, I told them of course....ASAP. Appreciate this forum and owner communication.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
This looks like the first promotional/commercial video that we might be seeing...

Apparently, ears and feet are integral to the G70 experience. I find a lot of car ads pretty terrible and this is no exception. It seems like they're trying to sell a lifestyle that few are interested in rather than a car. Very few car ads simply show the car and extol its virtues. Instead, they try to glamorize the car by association. For me, this often has the opposite effect.

Well there was about 20 seconds of nice views of the car. I think that is what they were selling.

Yes, the car did look nice. It was the other 75% of the content I didn't much like.

Yeah...I agree. If I want to see all that other BS...I will google a fragrance advert. Then again...I am not in advertising...perhaps it sparks some inner desire for a Korean sports sedan...LOL.

You consider that a review???

The videographer titled it as a review. You obviously have your opinion. If you don't like, don't look at it.

Well...it's been a little while...but we have a new article...and it's from Genesis.

Note...it mentions a summer launch. Hmmm...ok.

What is interesting...is this statement near the beginning...

Note to editors: This is the first of four product-related press releases in the lead-up to the U.S. market launch of the 2019 Genesis G70.

2019 Genesis G70: Designed To Perform

I think the media onslaught is about to begin. The above release is starting to propagate itself through the wonderful web.

Yeah, I saw that. It's a press release rather than a review from an outside source. This is the sort of thing that will go to smaller papers and other news outlets to garner some exposure. Notably, it it does mention a summer release and also contains the following text:

Note to editors: This is the first of four product-related press releases in the lead-up to the U.S. market launch of the 2019 Genesis G70.

So it does sound like this is the beginning of the media push. I guess we can anticipte three more such press releases prior to the car's arrival in the US. The countdown begins.

So I hit the main Genesis page for the USA.

They have added the G70 to the main page. Before...it was just accessible via the menu in the top right.

Once you click it though...just goes to the already existing page.

Not sure when they added the one single link...LOL. Their website developer moves at the same pace as the USA release.

Something new. Perhaps an upcoming American advert?

Could be. The English language would point in that direction but the Bahranian license plates suggest the Middle East. Couldn't see whether the speedo was in MPH or KPH. But I doubt they'd make a US ad and use Middle Eastern license plates.

True that...missed it.
