ECU resetting everytime i shut off car

Hey guys I live in. new York state and they require an inspection every year. Trying to get my car inspected for the year and it seems every time I shut the vehicle off the computer resets and starts from 0 and I have to drive approximately 60 miles for the computer to read correctly in order for it to pass emissions. does anyone know what fuse I should check or any other troubleshooting that I may be able to fix this thanks in advance

Smog controls are usually warranted for a period of 7 years or 70,000 miles, the way I see it this loosely falls into that category. I would check with your dealer on a solution as I'm thinking it will require a new ECU which is $$$.

Yes thank you I was thinking the same. Im going to check every fuse as well.

just replaced my ecu in my 09 4.6 about 8 months ago. $1500. Now my battery is dead every morning. Local mechanic says it's one of the bcms, but doesn't know which one. Any one else have this problem. Hate like heck to go to the dealer. Not much trust in them.

Really? All lights worked but no ignition. it wouldn't even take a jump. Had it towed to local mechanic and he diagnosed ecu or ecm? difference?
