I drive Highway 44 4 days/week and have been for a year now. I knew the day was coming. My heart and soul are heavy... Deer have no place on this Earth now

Sure hurts when that happens. You were fortunate though, cars have been totaled and drivers killed.
Maybe you can sell it as is. This guy needs a new car

Dammit that sucks, my girlfriend hit a deer not too long ago with her Gen coupe. Well now might be a good time to get that G80 sport bumper on.
Yea, she's fine. But you be surprised how close they can get the paint. They painted my conversion without ever seeing the car and its very very close. I'm about as picky as you if not more.
Let's hope. The estimator told me that they use the paint code for the car and take it to Sherwin-Williams to match. While they are probably the best paint supply shop in the country, I can say that SW paint is on my car. That doesn't sound normal.
Do you have the picture of your car they painted? I'd love to see before and after if you have them.
I went to Wesco for automotive paint, but sure let me get you some pics later today. Wesco used the paint analyzer to get the correct pigments and mix, but its still better for the painter to have the car so he can see the correct pearl effect when he does the cut on the paint.
With my white car, the bodyshop actually matched it better than factory did! My OEM bumper paint wasn't even close to the rest of the body
Thanks, man. He said he might have to paint the passenger fender as well as the damaged panels (hood, driver fender, bumper, driver door) so it matches like it should. I've seen good matching and bad matching and that's why I'm losing my sh*t over it.
The 2 most difficult colors to match are white and black. The paint match relies on the painter that's mixing the paint: some are really good and some not so much. Good luck with the body shop, hope it turns out as well as you expect.
Looks great!Sure felt like eternity but she’s back. Overall, I’m satisfied. I wasn’t expecting it to be factory quality but there isn’t much I can do.
A few imperfections:
- Overspray on front driver wheel
- Rocker is a bit loose. Taking it in for some glue/adhesive
- The driver door and fender gap is slightly larger than factory. Unbelievably minute but I can tell if I look closely.
I’ll talk with them about the overspray come Monday as I didn’t see it until I cleaned up the wheels. Drives, feels, and “looks” just the same as before. Glad she’s back
Quick tip on night driving: Drive behind someone so you aren’t the lead car. Let them take the hit

Make that body shop get it right. There is NO excuse for returning a car with overspray and loose panels.
I have much more extensive work done on a '13 Azera, and it came back perfect. I had an insurance estimate of about $1300, and my shop made them come and inspect the car while they had it. Total job ended up around $5K. The shop insisted on replacing trim parts by the door and rocker panel, and they properly blended the paint into the adjoining panels.
It can be tough to get the correct body shop, but it's worth the effort to do the research up front to get the job done correctly.
