  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I bought a Genesis from them several years ago, but my recent experience has turned me away. I received a flyer with a scratch-off which identified me as a winner of a T.V. I called to verify the win & was told that I could come in & get my T.V. When I arrived I was told that I qualified as a possible winner but did not win. That was a pure bait & switch tactic that has cost them my business & most likely business from a lot of people. I dealer thatpulls a stunt like that is really desperate for sales.

This isn't new. Every dealer has used similar sales tactics. I thought most folks were savvy enough to realize these are scams to pull you into the store. I guess there's a sucker born every minute. Can't blame the store for trying to get feet in the showrooms.

Sure you can when they use sleazy tactics and bait and switch. Many dealers use those tactics, but certainly not ALL. I would not consider going to a dealer that did. If they scam you to get in the door, can you trust them to sell you a product for tens of thousands of dollars? I would not.

Actually you CAN blame them. I believe that bait and switch is illegal. Was there any fine print on the flyer? Did they absolutely and unequivocally say you won?
