  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Someone had asked in another thread (that I can't find) what the camera pics are like. I took these when I pulled up to a curb to give him an idea of what it looks like. For some reason the display on the car does not look very nice in these cell phone pics. I would say it's better in person.

Definitly looks better in person, after having the 360 camera for the first time i will say it may be be my new must have feature for future cars

Absolutely. I still take a look out the window, but then I use the camera. Sort of like playing a video game backing into my driveway.

Is it nit-picking to say that I wish the overhead representation of the car matched the colour to my actual car??

Thinking about it, the actual programming would not be all that difficult. What follows adds to the cost of assembly. You either have to make it selectable in the head unit so the installer on the line can choose the color or you have to inventory 6 items instead of one. Simple as it seems, it complicted replcement and adds to everyday cost. Genesis is a good value and that sort of thing picks away at the cost difference.

On the plus side, it does match the color of my car.

Oh I know it’s never as simple as it sounds! And I admit it’s really minor. The other option would be to make it user selectable – if a GPS app like Waze can let you pick the colour of your car, could it really be that difficult?

That was me! Thank you so much!! I think the pixelation in the pictures has to do with the resolution of the screen, captured by a cell phone, and then displayed on a computer monitor.... But this was exactly what I was looking for!!!!

Except for the sunroof delete part.
I've had my car for over a month now and I have yet to open the sunroof. it's the one option that I could care less about.

Yeah, I agree. A sunroof, for me, seems like a nicer feature in the abstract and hypothetical (Gee, just think! Fresh air and sunlight flowing into the car with no wind in your face!) than it actually turns out to be (sun in my eyes and beating down on my head; and stuff blowing into the car). The sun is pretty intense here in North Carolina in the summer. Yes, there are days in the spring and fall when the weather is ideal. But it's still quieter with the sunroof closed and there is less glare off of the navigation/infotainment screen. I could easily forego the sunroof in favor of a bit more room and structural rigidity in the car. But it seems the models I most prefer always have one as a standard feature.

Lol totally agree - always seems like a great idea and then I end up using it about twice a year. One thing I do like though is the light so the car feels a little less closed in ...

I've had cars with pano roof for over five years now. In the first two cars, it was opened once, this car not at all. In summer I close the shade at least 6" to keep the sun out of my eyes, other times I close it and leave it closed to keep the sun out. Rarely do I open windows. As you point out, quiet is good, climate control does a good job.

About five days a year though, I 'd like to have a convertible. Never at noon time in July though.

It’s funny how everybody has different preferences. I don’t think I’d even consider a car without a sunroof. Summer is relatively short in Toronto and in winter it’s fairly dark, so I need all the light I can get. I also find there is nothing more satisfying than driving with all windows and the sunroof open on a summer night and feeling the air around moving around me. :)

I love the pano roof like is in the Tesla Model S... absolutely stunning.

However, the only time I will actually open the glass on a sunroof is mid- to late fall when the temps are in the low 60s. Other than that, I'll usually just have the glass closed but the shade open to make the car seem a little bit bigger. It's a perception thing for me; as long as the sun isn't beating down on my face or the interior screens, I'll have the shade open

I mainly like having a pano sunroof just to make the roof black lol
