  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, how do you remove the headlamp to replace to replace the turn signal bulb in a 2011 Genesis Sedan.

I need to remove my right headlight assembly to repair or seal a leak - and it is my understanding you have to remove the front bumper.....correct me if I'm wrong but that's what I found out...

I just replaced both my front turn signal bulbs in my 09 4.6 Sedan. The drivers side is easy as you just have to have a smaller pair of hands to squeeze into the tight space. The passenger side is a bit more difficult but just a pain. as you have to remove the air filter cannister assembly 1st. Then remove the power steering reserve from the fender bolts. THEN, you have to cram you fingers into the tight space to remove the old bulb. I actually had to have my wife twist off the bulb from its housing as my big hands couldn't do after several attempts.
There is also a video on U-Tube on the replacement process. Hope this helps?

Awesome Thank you.

Hey, IS it possible to remove the headlight assembly on the sedan without pulling the bumper?

Unfortunately not! There are bolts that hold the headlight assembly in place that are only accessible upon removing the bumper. The bolts on the top of the assembly aren’t a problem, but unfortunately there is no other way to get to the bottom bolts other than taking off the bumper.

Argggghhhhhhhh!

Last year when my car was in for 90k+ service they noticed driver side front signal bulb burnt out. Not knowing the complicated procedure involved I unwittingly said to please replace. i hour later later I approached service tech about length of time job was taking. Was told bumper had to be removed. I walked back to my seat shaking my head.
