Just released a new video (unveiled at our Grand Opening last Saturday) to help showcase the types of people that drive Genesis vehicles and to inject a bit of youth into the brand. Let me know what you all think!

Too many people wearing ties. Too snooty for me. I get the message with the choice of cars in the garage but overall, I didn't like it. I don't give a crap about how some doctor shaves. I don't see it injecting youth, just well to do.

Appreciate your feedback! I personally think we are doing well injecting youth here in Edmonton as we have plenty of buyers in their 20s and 30s (the Doctor in the video is in his 30s), amongst the highest in all of Canada. As much as I would love to have a video of us in our shirts, shorts, and red solo cups (we like to party here in Edmonton ), we also have a luxury image to maintain hence the direction of the video.

I can’t say I am surprised with the reaction. One scene that’s about 6 sec has a group of business men in ties. That’s too much? Everyone here expects the marketing to mirror the enthusiast persona that is on this board. I said it before when Sal asked what kind folks wanted to see in an ad. They hated my suggestions as too touchy geeky but that is exactly what has come to pass. Sorry to break it to you but theventhusiast is not the demographic that Genesis is marketing to.

I can’t say I am surprised with the reaction. One scene that’s about 6 sec has a group of business men in ties. That’s too much? Everyone here expects the marketing to mirror the enthusiast persona that is on this board. I said it before when Sal asked what kind folks wanted to see in an ad. I picture more upper middle class soccer mom and dad types who would jump into a G70. More mainstream folks who are ready to move up from their Maxima's and Camry's to something more sophisticated. That to me would draw more attention than watching some douchy "doctor" living in his high end house sipping coffee staring at his car.

Reason I asked if it was an iphone film is it just doesn't have that polished feel to many of the clips in it. Looks like a college kid trying to make a "cool" ad but not quite getting it right.

Maybe, but I think upper middle class soccer moms and dads are more likely to be look for an SUV.

GV80 release is when we will do the "soccer mom" video.

I didn't have any problem with the video. However, I wonder why the "doctor" has his machine wound up to 5000 RPM's as seen on the tach? 70 KPH or about 44 MPH in Sport mode and with "launch control". Does my '18 G80 Sport have launch control?
