If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Hello,

I noticed my left turn clicking very fast and researching it looks like my left (driver side) turn light is not working. I'm wondering if it's something I can buy and replace myself or it needs to be done professional?
Also how do I know if it's blown fuse or bulb is broken?

Thanks,
G

Never heard of one going out from a fuse. Yes, you can do it yourself, helpsto have skinny hands.

Can I safely remove burned out bulb and still drive so I can bring that bulb to automotive store for replacement?

Taking the bulb out doesn't make your car inoperable. Take it out, run to store, buy new bulb, go home, replace. :)

Just did it with no issues. For anybody who is noob like me. It's pretty simple to do it yourself based on manual.
2 things to note:
1. Bulb itself is not screwed in into a socket but rather push/release type so don't try to twist it too hard or you will break bulb portion off.
2. Make sure you put the same type of lamp which you have already in a car not LED one. Correct type is 2357A

That's part of the reason I don't signal turns IF there's no one coming or going that my signal would mean anything to. Drives my wife nuts. I figure the light bulbs have so many "blinks" before the die so I'm saving my blinks only for when needed.

Where's the access to this light, under the hood or behind the outside lens cover?

Under the hood. It's well documented in manual as well, so you will not be lost.

Bulbs can be had for a buck. Most last for years. How much is a ticket?

If you don't mind a trip to the dealer, wouldn't this be covered on the warranty? I know we're talking pennies here, but maybe I just don't want to open my hood. On several cars over the last 20 years I don't remember ever having to replace a turn signal bulb.

Bulbs generally not covered or only a short time. Last time I had one go out was on my 2015 when I was in for an oil change. I forget what they charged but it was in the $10 to $15 range.

For dealer good well, I can't believe a simple bulb swap would be billed. I'm going to open my hood and see if I can find these bulbs.

do you have 3.8 or 5.0? drivers side on 3.8 replacement is a piece of cake. will take you 2 minutes total. the passenger side is the pain and usually the one that goes out.

I have 3.8 and it was on driver side and was super easy as you mentioned. Wondering why changing on the other side is more complicated if headlights are exactly the same?

StarFlyer hate to break it to you, but as you have 2018 G80 Sport you don't have bulbs for your turn signals in the front or rear, you have LEDs and yes it requires a dealer trip and the whole headlight or tail light unit has to be replaced, they are not individually serviceable.

and the LED signals/headlights are only covered under the base 5/60K limited, not the 10/100..

your front turns are integrated into the DRLs, they are dual color, white for DRL, and change to amber for turn during the day (whole bar), at night only the lower half of the DRL LED bar lights up for turns.

your rears on the inner area of the trunk are dual as well, amber for turns but white for reverse lights.

EdP, not sure on yours (you don't have a sport correct?) but I believe the 5.0 has the same LED turns signals.. I'm not sure about the 3.8 but I suspect it might be the same.

for the passenger side, you need to have TINY hands, if not, then you need to move the air box out of the way to gain easier access to the rear cover and bulb. to move the air box the support brace the runs over the top of the box needs removed (or loosened up) and then the box un-hooked to move out of the way.

My 2015 had regular bulbs. The 2018 is LED. Not sure when they changed but I think it was 2017. Not sure what starflyer has.

his profile says 2018 G80 Sport. . same as mine.. no bulbs.. even the overhead/map lights are led and not serviceable.

and yes a dealer will charge 1 hour of labor to change a bulb, most are not easy to access and take 20-30 minutes.

In that case he should blink away, they last a very long time.
