  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do with your DH Genesis today?

My left front blinker went out last week. After looking through threads about short lifespan on bulbs I went the cheap route and got a set of 2357 bulbs for $5. I'm happy I went with the clear bulbs instead of the amber ones. The silver/white hue from the DRL looks classier to me than the orange.

We'll see how long these last (installed 8/19/2018) and I may go with LEDs the next time around.

I thought about using white but just wasnt sure I'd like white front turn signals. I was having trouble with the standard bulbs not being the same brightness too.

They're definitely different! I'll take a quick vid when I get home and post here so you can have an idea of what they look like.

Finally got new shoes. It drives like a dream!

Also washed, clayed and sealed/waxed:
(funny thing is that they told me at the dealership that they clayed my card too which I found hard to believe. I bought it on Monday last week. Just look how much dirt it picked up with just a few passes on part of the hood....).

i like that color - how many miles on your old tires?
Thank you. Old tires(original) had 37k miles on them. I could tell that they have never been rotated because of uneven wear, all were cupping on both sides and front ones were almost gone. People should learn to rotate their tires...

Sorry that took me a minute to remember to get out there and take some pics!

Sorry it's raining but you get the idea of how they look as white bulbs vs the amber

Thank for the comparison. I can not tell much of a difference from the amber or yellowish/white light bulbs.

Took 8 days and now the RIGHT blinker went out (it was replaced at the same time I did the left one) So that's pretty lame.
I got 1157's but they hyperflash. I'm already getting used to the sound though lol. I got some more $7 regular bulbs if it drives me crazy.
Glad the bulbs are so easily accessible. With my AEM cold air intake I can pop them both out in under 5 minutes.

I am thinking of getting the following bulbs:

AMAZON

It is white when on and orange when blinking. Also need to install resistor with these so they do not hyperflash but it is easy.

Good to know that. For some reason I got used to the amber/orange DRL on my Genesis and I actually like the way it looks. Although I was passing base Genesis and his where yellow halogen and not amber orange. I think it is just a preference.

I also like my amber running lights. I am tired of white LED DRL bulbs now anyway since I have installed them on my last few cars that did not have factory LED running lights. Plus, everyone is doing it now in my area on older cars and newer cars without factory LED running lights. Amber running lights actually stands out now.:)

I may do an amber LED bulb swap for a deeper amber color look.

I don't mind the amber, you can always switch on the LEDs as you wish, its nice to have options.

Got my Genesis a couple months ago and have been getting ideas for it. So far have tinted the windows, painted the calipers and added 20 x 9 Niche M204 wheels and 255/35r20 Nexen n7000 tires. So far very happy with it.

Beautiful ride! This was my dream color combination... How does the ride quality compares to the stock rims?
