  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Could be 2019 in Korea. They often introduce there a year or two ahead of US market. Eventually it will be here.
2019 in S.Korea is our 2020...in regards to the G70 model. Not their calendar...LOL.

looks cool, something out of Star Wars.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Sweet! Hope it rolls onto the next gen G80 and G90!

It'll be interesting to see if it comes out in our 2020 model. I kinda don't want to buy one until we get this here, especially since I'm buying.

That will depend on two things. Reliability and acceptance.

It sounds nifty but I wonder if it is more gimmick and a distraction than practical. I also remember the first Ford vans with digital dash failures. I'd like to see one though.
Honestly, to compete in the luxury market they're going to have to. Everyone is switching to that. The 3D no, but digital is where it's headed. Whether it's better or not they're going to be looked at as missing things other manufacturers have if they don't head that way so I see why they're doing it.

Nevermind the 3D...it tracks your eyes. Car could wake you up if it senses you’re dozing off.

Blink twice...look up...and to the right...and the car will go into Sport Mode.

Folks with a lazy eye are f’d...LOL.

I agree, whichever mode they are showing doesn't really appeal to me but a more traditional layout with two tachometers and better utilization of the space or a single tachometer in the middle with two different pieces of information to the left and right (map and engine or audio information a la Audi S4) would have much more flexibility and customization making it more useful than the current G70 setup. Even if it was just an option on certain trim levels I think they do need it to be competitive with their technological offerings (A4 doesn't have it on all levels).

Yeah I could see it being in the 2020 Sport trim, which is actually right up my alley.

Isn't the other screen for maps?
Sure...but others like Audi...you can have your map right in front of you where it makes sense. Then other screen can be used for less important info.

I guess if they had Google Maps or Waze in there I would find it useful, but otherwise, I don't use my vehicle's navigation anyway. Does anyone let you put Waze in there? Cause if not, I wouldn't use the maps thing anyway even if the digital dash had it. I use android auto for my nav.

I don’t think you’ll ever see maps in the center LCD display of the dash. I don’t think current resolution will support the detail needed. It would take a major upgrade to give it the resolution that the current map screen’s have.

That's fine. Like I said, I wouldn't use it unless it was like Waze or something which as far as I know, no one can do right now. I also don't plan on taking it to places where I don't know where I'm going either. Long trips are what my SUVs are for since I have to take my family too. This is just for me. They're not even allowed to ride in it, ha.

Now that looks much better. The classic theme looks nice. The 3D one looks bad and the Cascading one looks meh!
On the current one, I wish you could stack more information on the screen. Seems like a lot of wasted space.
