  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

First time I every had a car seat do this to me. I have owned the car for about 6 months and the seat is causing sciatic pain in both legs. I purchased a memory foam cushion it helps but not fully. Did a Goggle search and you find lots of complains on all kinds of cars but no real fix.

Anyone have a fix other than selling the car?

Not sure who you would talk to, but a custom cushion or spacer may do the trick. You are either not getting the right support or are getting pressure someplace. I imagine you've played with all the seat controls to no avail.

Consider talking with a chiropractor, physical therapist or personal trainer at your gym. They might be able to suggest some strength- training, stretching, etc. that might alleviate the problem or have a suggestion as to what kind of seat support you might need. Especially helpful if you can have them see the car and your sitting position in person. This happened to me with my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. Huge sciatic pain after sitting in the driver's seat for more than 30-60 minutes at a time.

Good luck!!

If you drive with your wallet in your back pocket try taking that out! I have had back problems for years and after I had my first surgery my Dr. told me to never drive or sit with a wallet in you back pocket as it shifts your posture causing more discomfort. That being said I never had any back issues driving my 2015 Sonata but the Genesis seats are way harder and I can’t go more than an hour before I’m constantly adjusting the seat trying to get comfortable to no avail. I just take Advil before going on trips now just to visit family out of state.

I had the same problem. My older 2006 Sonata's seats were (are) better. I have driven both cars over 6 hours in one day more than once.

Try adjusting the bolsters tight and extend the leg support. I had the same problem, this adjustments seemed to help.
