Will Lowering my 2015 HTRAC AWD Genesis fundamentally change the ride?

Good afternoon,

I have a 2015 Genesis HTRAC AWD 3.8. I am considering lowering the car about 1". I was wondering for those who have done this does lowering change the ride to the point that it detracts from the smooth ride it presently has? The wheel gap is driving me crazy, but I also know that this will open pandora's box (rims, custom exhaust, sway bars, strut tower braces, etc). I live in Baltimore near the harbor where the roads are not the best. Would a set on 19' rims and tires with a higher sidewall solve my issues without lowering?

I've done it on my '15 5.0.....Ark GT-S and GT-F lowering springs.

With GT-F's the drop will be ~.75 inch. all around, which is nice, you can feel the car suspension is more firm, it doesn't bounce, it almost feels like OEM springs, but better. 19's XXXx45/19 and XXXx40/19 are perfect, it's more harsh with 20's, I like it.

The GT-F will drop your front to ~1.5 inch (1.75 inch for v8 5.0) and that's not so good, bouncy ride, bottom up sometimes, it's just dangerous) rear ~1.25 inch, that's ok, looks good.

Here's how my car looked with OEM, GT-S and GT-F springs.

I live in Baltimore City. Not a lot of Genesis around the baltimore metro area.

I've lowered mine on Storm springs. To be honest I didnt have the car long enough to know if it changed the ride before I swapped them out. It does look great though. I have noticed a slight bounciness hitting shallow pot holes but not sure if that's normal.

I will lower it this summer. Would like a stock ride with a lower stance. Maybe new wheels. Mine are trashed.
