It has been CONFIRMED that they said their test car was off. Add to it high altitude, heat, etc.

Use your common f'ing logic man...instead of writing story books replies. Same engine and transmission...G70 is lighter by 200 lbs. A 10 year old can deduce the outcome.

I'm actually not being a dick. Read the guy's post. Anytime someone has a comment or opinion...he writes an essay about how you might be wrong...or how your sentence is malformed.

What are your concerns with the G70 ?

Just asking as i have the G70 and love it and would only go with an Audi if it could come within a few thousand dollars of the G70

I have no concerns. I have driven it. I am patiently waiting for it. My only concern is that it doesn't come soon. I need to get rid of my current car.

My personal concern with the G70 is the crap gas mileage (BMWs, Audi's, Infinitis around the same HP get way better MPG), and long term reliability, being as this is a new model (Although not a new platform).

G70 will definitly have worst mileage, as for reliability, i would imagine its on par or better than the Germans

But if your are worried about gas mileage i imagine you make up way more than that based on the price of the cars, you will still come out way in front with a G70

Well...now I am pissed at Genesis. So I went and got my inspection...and failed. I have to buy new rubber. So waiting on farking Genesis has now actually cost me money. Fvck these useless pylons.

Yeah...they must be really frustrated...especially the corporate cocksuckers that are currently driving G70's (other NJ post). I just emailed Kevin Smith myself. Told him my A4 is out of warranty...and I had to dish out a crap load of cash for 4 tires since inspection failed. Both due to the fact that I have no G70.

I'm not too worried about how I have or haven't contributed. I've been (actually patiently) waiting for information, just like most folks. I realize that screaming on a forum or in emails to executives won't get me anything.

I'm also pleasantly stable, which you might be able to see as a positive contribution when contrasted with your manic back and forth bipolar-ism. Have fun with that blood pressure you have going on over there. Meanwhile, I'll go ahead and "FO".

My blood pressure is fantastic. When my nose bleeds...it really sprays. All I can say is I'm the type of person that gets stuff done...others sit back and...well...whatever. I can assure you that those that succeed in life do not sit back and wait. But we are talking about a car here. Problem is...I get passionate about every thing I do.

LOL, i would like to know if the testers are using launch control, i have used launch control several times an it feels significantly slower than just mashing the gas, i do feel these numbers are wayy off.

I just test drove a 2019 x3 m40i and it felt slower than my G70 back to back

I was looking at the comments following the comparison shoot-out with the S4 among the other luxury compacts in Car and Driver. An S5 Sportback does 0-60 in 4.3s but it's 5-60 is 5.8s. The S4 does 0-60 in 4.3s as well but not sure of it's tested 5-60. All of these numbers are from Car & Driver.

The G70 in Car & Driver does 5-60 is 5.2s.

Someone commented that the fast 0-60 times don't translate to the real word for single turbo V6s but the G70 with it's twin turbo does better here when you compare 0-60 relative to the 5-60 times.

I was the one talking about real world applicability of 0-60 times. Those are more for bragging rights than anything else. 5-60, 30-50 and 50-70 times translate much better to "real life" performance.

The S4 goes 0-60 in 4.3s and 5-60 in 5.3. So pretty close to the G70.

The Stinger GT and the Merc C43 both go 5-60 in 5 flat with the C43 producing a 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds. The 2019 C43 gets a power bump and other improvements so those numbers may be reduced even further.

I think the biggest disappoint from the G70 instrumented testing so far has been the 1/4 mile times. A 365 hp vehicle is only trapping 106 mph (3847 lb). The C43 traps at 110mph (362hp/3900 lb). The S4 traps 109mph (354hp/3928 lb ). Both run 12.7-12.8 elapsed times as well. Based on what the G70 should do "on paper", something seems off. The root cause is yet to be determined. If Genesis "tuned" it this way for the US market then it will be a major disappointment.

Edit to add braking as well. The 3847 lb. G70 stopped from 70mph in 164ft (with better tires and pads than the regular Sport). But the 4429 lb. Audi SQ5 SUV did it in 148ft.

After 1000kms i started to notice a bit of wear on the seat and side bolsters on the left side of my driver seat, im at 3000km now and the wear has not gotten much worse, still diappointing though as it is noticeable

I think this is going to be an issue that will need to be addressed. I don't know how many vehicles I have owned that did not exibit this type of wear.
