  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I bought a lifetime wrap warranty from my dealership that I just purchased my '15 HTRAC Ultimate from. Covers everything that's in the standard 5yr/60k mile manufacturer's warranty for unlimited years and unlimited miles. $200 deductible. Paid ~$2700 for it. $0 deductible would have been $3100 but it has to be serviced at that dealership. My car was shipped to me 800 miles away so that would have been no benefit to me. As long as the car is registered in my name it's covered. My daughter will be 5 on Christmas. Hope she likes it because this vehicle will be in my family forever!

Who sold the plan? Whats the name of the company? Exclusionary?

I bought the plan through Walser Hyundai near Minneapolis. Plan is administered through CNA National. The dealership gives all new and near new vehicles the lifetime power train warranty and this vehicle service contract covers the rest. It is exclusionary but the exclusions are things like wearable parts and such.

Warranties are interesting purchases. Keep in mind that very few things last forever. Companies fold; people die, divorce; cars get crashed, or just plain old, and are sold for a newer piece of fluff.

I just bought a 10 yr/120,000 (with $50 deductible per claim) Hyundai Platinum wrap warranty for my new ‘19 Santa Fe. It’s also convertible to a new owner for $75. My Son traditionally gets a free car from me after I drive it for 4, or 5, years. Cost was $1,615, tax included. Every Hyundai dealer will honor it and I can pass it on to anyone for a small fee.
