  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I used the dealer locator on the Genesis web site to try and determine what states do not currently have Genesis dealers listed. Hopefully the methodology was good, I searched by zip code for a city or two in the state. If I only received dealers from another state, got a message they were coming soon, or got a message that no dealers are in the region, I added them to the list. Currently there are 36 states without dealers showing. I will try to update the list periodically if people are interested.

Roseville Genesis in the Sacramento area of California has their website updated for the G70. I take it as a good sign although when I called Genesis customer care today they said CA was several months away. Capital Genesis San Jose, Dublin Genesis. It looks like if they had a Genesis website already they were updated. When I do a dealer search on the Genesis website it just keeps looking and hoping.

It appears that all Genesis dealer websites were updated last night to show the G70s, believe they are developed/hosted by corporate and use the same framework. Not sure if that means all currently showing will be franchised or if they didn't differentiate.

Mississippi should hopefully have theirs soon. When I talked to the dealer about a month ago, they thought it would be 90 or so days. We'll see. I will be moving close to the Alabama Mississippi state line and they have plenty in Alabama so I'll probably just go there.

Yes, you should be set. There are enough there that you can hopefully capitalize on some competition between them.

That's what I'm hoping.

That list is substantially longer than the list of states who are currently selling it. Haha.

As of this morning...I don’t see the individual dealer websites changed. No G70.

Again...some have hacked it to show the G70 as an ad-type thing. But I believe corporate has not pushed the national template.

This is my local LA site. Does this look like it has been hacked?

I meant the home landing page.

And by hacked...I mean that clever folks at a dealer can modify the corporate template. There are a few that have done it to their home page to include the G70. But usually looks like shit. Alexandria did it.

Like Mcc said, looks like it is a corporate push to all Genesis dealers who will be a Genesis dealer going forward. I checked a number of sites and all but a couple had the exact same inventory look as hr posted. Two only showed the 2018s so it could be they will not be or they or unknown.

I checked 3 sites in a state that are not currently approved to be a Genesis dealer but sell 2008 Genesis G80/90. One of them has this page; the other 2 do not; of those 2, when I spoke with one of them they told me that they would not be getting any G70s.

Thanks, then our theory of only those who will be, or probably will be, dealers next year got the update.

Attached is the latest list. I have an additional source for getting the info but can't go into it yet. I also have not been able to verify the data by another means but believe it to be reliable.

That said, I took four states off the list as they seem to have been approved for franchising and have a dealer set up. Those states are Arkansas, Kansas, North Carolina, and South Carolina. We are down to 32 states without being approved/having a dealer.

It doesn't look like that now. Back to just 2017 and 2018 G80's
Dealers in Florida are the same, had the G70 last week but now they went back to only showing the 2018 G80 and G90 models.

Yes, they made a change to all the web sites last week. At one point the 2019s even disappeared from the sites of dealers who had them in stock. Those returned shortly but other dealers no longer had the 2019 information. I would guess the fact they were on there was causing people to call the dealers about them and the dealers had no information to give them.

At least I am finally in a state that touches an authorized state, although a road trip to Kansas does not seem very exciting.

Same here, I'm in South Florida, Geogia's nearest dealer is 650 miles away.

Yes, I have thought about that also but think I will choose to go to AZ. Can double as a vacation and they will have more dealers, at least in the beginning.
