  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm looking at the 3.3T dynamic, which is one below the sport in Canada. It gives up the a few things like HUD, Black Chrome trim, sport wheels and tires and LSD. There is a $1500 incentive on this model plus it's $5500 cheaper than the sport. So a good amount less..

I understand the impact of no LSD on a rear drive but since I would be getting the AWD, I'm unclear of what I would be losing in terms of traction. Anyone know how the AWD system works with our without the LSD?

Look no further than the AWD Stinger - no LSD on that one. Check out some reviews on YouTube regarding this. In the end, it won't be losing much in terms of traction if you're only trying to go from point a to point b, but the fun factor will be totally different, depending on your driving style. Hyundai's brake-based torque vectoring will help keep all 4 wheels spinning during slippery conditions, like in the snow.

One big part of the reason why I'm interested in a G70 over the Stinger is because it has a really nice multi plate LSD in the rear, which will allow for some power-on rotation despite having AWD. This isn't really something that you'd use that much on the street, though.

Simy put, with stability control turned off, the rear LSD will help make the AWD car feel a bit more like a RWD car, but with even more traction.

All of this said, I didn't know any of the 3.3's came w/out a rear LSD. But that's here in the states, evidently it's different up in Canada.

Let us know what you end up deciding on!

I decided on the 3.3T AWD Dynamic in Santiago Silver. It's on it's way and I expect it in 2 weeks!

This is what it should look like...

Curious...how do you know it is on its way? Did they contact the port and find it? Or is that something they just told you? Be careful.

Hey where did you see mention of this $1500 incentive? I have switched my reservation to a 3.3 Dynamic and haven't seen that added. Is this something the sales person did for your deal or is it a listed offer? LMK!

Yeah the rep can tell you exact inventories that are already landed. In Canada obviously we have that head start which is good. We apparently keep the cars in at least 2 spots right now where all the "dealers" pull from. Vancouver and Montreal. That's what I was told now when I reserved a 3.3 Mallorca with Caramel brown yesterday it was the last one in Western Canada, hence I held it prior to my final test drive Thursday. I believe she said it was sitting in Edmonton, may have misheard that though, it was a quick chat. If they don't have the stock she said it would be the typical 2.5 - 3 month wait. If you're west coast you'll see it sooner. ;-) If you want it with a black interior you'll probably have much better luck on it already being on the continent.

Now you get to clean the moss out between your toes instead :-D

Yep but I do have a lot of nice corners near here as I drive out to fetch my granola and hemp. :-D

After what @Slip_Angle had mentioned I reached out to my rep and what she lined up for me was another $750 off on the Dynamic. There is the $750 incentive on the Prestige and Dynamic. In addition if you have a luxury brand already in the household they will give you another $750 incentive on those two models. I can't get that one but I do get the $1000 incentive for being a current Hyundai owner. So a nice $1750 off, helps close the gap significantly on the $3400 or so gap I had on my trade in value, nice.

Does Acura count for the incentive?

She specifically mentioned BMW/Audi/Lexus/MB/Jaguar/Infiniti in her email after I asked but it looks like Slip received it on the Cadillac, I'd be surprised if Acura didn't count. If you have an agent assigned it'd be worth asking for sure.

My rep says that Conquest Incentive was already applied to my Prestige. So $750 plus the $1,000 for owning a Hyundai.
Total $1,750. Was hoping it was another $750 on top of that. Maybe I misread the post.

So if you don't own a Hyundai you can get $1500 from a $750 Prestige/Dynamic incentive and $750 for a Competitor incentive. Not sure if that competitor incentive is the "conquest" one you mention above. It may be that you can only get the loyalty one or the competitor one. I checked in my profile and it was prescriptive as to what incentive was what.

I'm confused with your phrasing.
This is what I have:
Less: Pre-Tax Finance Rebate - Exclusive Loyalty $1,000.00
Less: Pre-Tax G70 Prestige and Dynamic Special Offer $750.00

Is there another $750 that I'm missing?
