  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

sooooooo has anyone bought one for their G70 and tested it out??
There are SO few G70 owners at this point. And only a SMALL percentage of owners will ever tune their cars. The answer is: no. Not yet.

well lets hope some of those who own them in Canada have tried this and will soon tell us their results

.

If you want to know early results for the G70..... just go look at the Stinger owners results..

0-60 I think will be tough to really see some mind blowing number UNLESS you are really skilled at launching, Just a guess.......
The at-speed acceleration is where the most significant will be I think....but this dude here, in a Stinger, is showing right around 4 sec..... but I actually calculated a little less.. looks like high 3 second range. He's on map 2.

Yes. And keep in mind the Stinger is heavier - and I hear the G70 is tuned for a little more power to begin with. So the G70 will be faster...

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Are there still no dyno sheets for it on the 2.0 yet?

Sorry, no. Several 2L customers with great feedback. But no dynos yet.

this is impressive!

can they do something this insane for a 12-14 genesis sedan rspec sheesh!

As Todd stated. Too bad I think you're missing some possible sales here. No one else has attempted to do anything either. Curiosity, why not?

It's got to be a tiny market. Tuning is not what the demographic who buys these two cars are interested in.

Gentleman, I must disagree and I'd like to hear what Terry from BMS has to say being an actual producer of the product in question. Maybe it's time for BMS to take a serious look at them.

Demographics or not, there are those who are interested and waiting. Tuning is not built around sport sedans or sports oriented vehicles alone. Naturally aspirated engines especially FI engines also benefit from precision tuning. There may not be the same increases you'll find in a turbocharged vehicle, however none-the-less, they also benefit from more dynamic software parameters. There is always more power to be gleaned from tuning a particular engine platform.

All you have to do is look at the 4.6 Gen 1and 5.0 Gen 2. from BTR and posting on this website alone. There are many parameters to adjust and they provide a completely new OEM ECU also. Piggy backs are much easier to manufacture and tune, as they modify OEM signal parameters after the ECU.

BTR 2012-14 ECU + TCU Tune for Genesis Sedan (BH) 5.0 GDi (8spd)

Such tuning has been around for sometime for both N/A and Turbocharged engines. I've done both in the past. There are all types of flash tunes and Piggyback tuners available for Chevrolet, Ford, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche and others both N/A and Turbocharged.

Exhausts are fine but you need to get the air in to get more out. So benefits are to be had in increasing A/F ratios, larger throttle bodies, intakes etc. Just like in any engine, despite being naturally aspirated or turbocharged.

My apologies to Sal and others here, I don't mean to derail this thread. I've PM'ed Terry once before without any answer, so I though a more direct approach would be beneficial
