The only noticeable difference is the "me too" LS460 exhaust. Other than that I can't see anything outwardly different.

The changes are subtle no doubt, but it would appear that the chrome trim on the trunk just above the license plate now extends downward at the edges (it's covered w/ duct tape), and lower side valences are more chiseled. It remains to be seen how different the bumpers and headlights are, and what changes, if any they made on the inside.

I hope they switch from faux wood to real stuff on the interior and I wouldn't mind if they added a bit more Equus influence in the form of slightly more detailed door panels w/ subtle chrome trim around the buttons/speaker and full-color center gauge display.

Sorry, but I just don't see changes compared to mine, (except for color). If I went and made vinal covers and a little duct tape, mine would look exactly like that one, (except for the exaust tips).

Saw the woman on TV (Brenda) who takes all these "spy" photos out there on those lonely roads in Nevada. Quite a gal. She stands by the side of the road, with a camera with a LONG lense, and takes lots of photos of upcoming cars. These photos are how she makes her living.

What more did you expect from a refresh? I've already detailed the subtle changes above. What you can't see are the top of the headlights, center of the grille, or the bumpers. The fact that they're disguised in the first place would lead one to believe they've been altered as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets a couple new colors and new wheel designs too (they could just be using the existing wheels since this is a test vehicle). It's hard to tell because of the mesh netting and silver paint, but it looks like the lower air dam may now also have subtle chrome trim on the lower edge like the Equus. At least it looks like it when I zoom in on the large pic.

Again, it's just a refresh. I'm sure Hyundai is thinking why mess w/ a good thing? Most people seem to like the styling of the Genesis as is.

These spy shots are cool. My thought is that it doesn't seem to make sense to make so many exterior changes, or changes at all to a car in only its' first model year that is almost spot on. I can see some new functionality, features, or maybe colors. But wholesale changes, I don't see. That is for the exception of the well documented suspension that some are banking on.

The center grille covering may reveal whether there's a front camera as part of the tech package similar to the Equus'.

The side is definitely more chiseled and the door panels seem to be more recessed than they are now. Much more sporty in an Acura sort of way.

The exhaust tips look very similar to the Equus.

As far as instrument cluster displays, I'd love to have Hyundai go another step and do something amazing with the cluster, such as a Microvision display or the 2010 Jag XJ virtual cluster. Or a oleophobic, dual-view center monitor. But I'm sure that is likely years down the road (if ever, due to U.S. regs), either in the next-gen Genesis or Equus. But I can dream, can't I?

Dreaming is fun! The gauge displays in the new Jag XJ and Land Rovers are SWEET. I would love to see something like that.

The ground effects look less classy and more me too- Altima-like.
The rear end bumpers are less integrated, but I do like the Equus/LS460 exhaust.
The dash is pics is of the Equus.

I hope the refresh includes the engines getting DI (much rather have that than cylinder deactivation).

Also hope Hyundai keeps the Klingon/waterfall grille mostly the same (I don't know what making the grille more like the Equus means, but don't really care for either Equus grilles).

Agreed. Besides, would you rather have your exhaust tips come from the Sonata and Santa Fe (current Genesis) or the Equus (refreshed Genesis)?

Integrated exhaust tips are quickly becoming commonplace amongst luxury vehicles. I personally like them.

I REALLY dislike those exhaust "tips", and they are becoming all the rage. Heck, even BMW copied the rear of the LS460, as did the Mazda 6.

It needs more structural and feature refinement (bluetooth enhancement, ipod integration, memory profile/fob integration) than styling refinement, so here's hoping the R&D efforts are being placed there. Here's also hoping that Wendell has been fired and they invested in a computer for tuning purposes.

I have to say, that Equus cluster looks fantastic!

Can't say anything as far as the suspension, but it's been a known fact that Hyundai has been working w/ Microsoft of a version of SYNC for their vehicles. http://jalopnik.com/387558/microsoft-shills-its-sync-to-hyundai-kia

I'd put money on the Equus, Genesis and new Sonata getting this for 2011.
