  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Dash Mat for 3.8 Genesis Utlimate

I had a dash mat for our 98 Bonneville w/ HUD and it was available with the slot hud slot ‘ what I didn’t care for was they use double sided tape to attach the mat which damaged the dash board after a year or so. Plus your always having to vacuum it, we keep a dust cloth in the glove box and give it a couple of swipes once or twice a month.
If you worry about sun damaging the dash use a good quality sun screen on your windshield.

Thanks , this is good advice . Will skip the dash mat - seems like it is not very helpful.

Will invest in a sun screen instead.

We bought our sun screen at the dealership, black on the inside gold on the outside, pricey at $40 but well worth the price here in Phoenix AZ. In the summer where temperatures can easily top 140 degrees inside a parked car.lol

Bought our sun screen at the dealership,it’s the one that’s black on the inside and gold on the outside. Bit pricey at $40 but a really good shield and a must here in Phoenix Az. Where In the summer temperatures easily reach 150+ degrees in your vehicles interior.

Treat your dash with a UV protectant, and don't forget the doors. Should help prevent cracking.
