  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

New pictures with a few cool mods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also I wished hyundai had gone with just one emblem instead of creating too many differerent models. You don't really see that with other manufactures.

I agree. The conventional wisdom is that Genesis will end up being the brand. I'm really not sure what will happen with the Equus, especially since there's apparently some debate at HMA as to even if it will be called the Equus at the end of the day. For me, I'm not sure that I get an image of a horse from the car. I get a picture of a naked Daniel Radcliffe (shudder).

I got this car from a family member who works at HMA for the employee discount. She told me that hyundai will fade out as a brand in general. HMA will leave the eco cars to Kia, their sister brand. Genesis will possibly becomes a brand in a few years. One thing though, they need a more serious badging for the Genesis brand. The current one is similar to the Bently as I mentioned above. They need something fresh that is not like any others. Wouldn't the current badge on the Equus works? I like to think so. It is after all still a square badge with a pair of wings in it.

I don't know...The Equus badge might be a pair of wings. It might be a wishbone. It might be a stylized cowboy spur. It might be as much of a copy of the Honda logo as the Hyundai logo is today. It has way too much negative space for a logo. Maybe that's why I dislike it as a brand--you spend a lot of time trying to analyze the logo itself rather than have the logo simply identify the car.

I don't mind that the Genesis badge is a derivative emblem since the styling of the car itself is derivative. And I don't think it's awful to be a copy of Bentley. At least it's not a knockoff of a Chrysler ;)

I like the customizations. I think these badges look better than winged ones. The only thing that I dont like about the stuff is the extra large tires. Enjoy!

Just the other day I saw a Nova with Ferrari badges all over it.... so bad. Did the guy really think he was fooling anyone. I almost took some pics and posted it.. soo funny.

As someone who grew up in the Denver area, I mourn that you got so many SoCal transplants over the last 15 years. :(

DG, you think YOU mourn? Some call it the Californification of Colorado! Not me you understand.....just some Coloradans. :)

Ugh, that kind of crap really irks me.

Dare I say Acura should look into buying vehicles from Hyundai and re-badging them as Acuras? ;) Hyundai seems to be capable of building a truer luxury vehicle than Acura, a brand that has been around for over 20 years.

nice pics but i agree the badges have to go but to each his own

I think your ride is HOT.

I have my opinions...non the less, but to each his own! You drive it...and people are gonna look...regardless!

Enjoy your beautiful machine! :)

Your tastes are your own, and if you like it the more power to you!!

My personal opinion? I like what you did to the car. I'm sure it looks much better in person as well. Having larger rear wheels, gives a more rearward look, which is what you see in high end 4 door exotics. I hate cab forward design; its what you see in every regular car (dodge neon, most cab forward I've seen), which the Gen has in subtly. When I changed the rims on mine, it seemed to have changed the overall profile of the vehicle which I identified and noticed in yours.

You've taken and 'old man's car" and given it a shot of adrenaline for a youthful powerful look, and I aint gonna hate on it!!

Guess I'm just really outta the loop, but where did you get the Equus Badges (mainly the front?)!!

I may be in the minority, but I think the stock wheels on my 4.6 with Tech package are better looking than any I have seen as add-ons. I haven't seen anything on any car that I thought looked better.

I also prefer the winged Genesis emblem. Everybody to their own choices though and you obviously love yours.

Mr2Envi, I think it rocks! I will customize my own, when I get it, differently. Not to sound too "Paula Abdul" here, but what I like best is it expresses your individuality and tastes. If I saw your car, I would know it was you without question. It is unique.

Nice pictures. Not my taste on some of the mods, but like others have said, at least you take pride in your car and you're trying to stay true to the "VIP" theme, since that's what you like.

I'm interested in the coil overs too. Now that I have upgraded my wheels and tires, I need to drop it a little to finish off the look.

Funny you have Porsche tips, as I also went with a Porsche tip, without even realizing you did. Mine are the Turbo 996 tips though, so just a little different. They're also black chrome instead of the regular silver chrome.

I've corresponded with someone from ARK and they have assured me their set up will fit in a 4.6 sedan. Seeing your car has given me the proof, so now I can move forward with my purchase. Can't wait to get mine in...I just hope the ride doesn't change too much...We'll see.

I am actually looking to get an air ride set up for my car. I might be selling my coilovers set up if you are looking for a nice mint ARK coilovers.
