How do you all feel about build dates of june? Is this common in Feb March of current model year. Almost 9 months old and only discounts of $1000 or even markups I would assume in 3 more months they will start producing 2020s. How many are still at the ports?
 
Good question. Personally, I don't mind that build date; but, it isn't applicable to me at this point because my car isn't at the port. My dealership just told me that the exact car I wan't isn't at the port, and they have no idea how long it will take for the next shipment to come in that might have my car.

My dealer said there were approx 1500 cars at the port in Seattle for the west coast. I really don't know how accurate that statement is, though.

I'm super bummed. Looks like I'm going to be waiting for a while for this unicorn of a car. :c
 
What difference would it make if it a 2019 MY?
Not like there are build revisions in the same MY. This is not VW with their 2009.5 and chances are that certain colour and trim combinations may have older or newer build date.
Not sure they will start assembling 2020 cars for NA in April. They will probably wait to see how much demand there is first and may it start after the 2nd half of this year.

I forgot...what exact spec are you looking for?
 
Would be cool if we could search the port inventory for model/color/trim/etc. I also have only 1 particular build that I'd consider purchasing. If I knew there was short or no supply for it, that would help during negotiation. I guess only a dealer rep can search the port inventory?

That's what it sounds like to me. My dealership's GM had to do everything through his Genesis rep, who later on informed him of the bad news.

I couldn't find the first one (Downer's Grove) on the dealers network but the second one at Troy shows as available. There are a couple more Sylver Sport but with red stiching not grey

I'm trying to get a Polar Ice 3.3T and my Dealer's GM doesn't seem to be able to find out what's available on the dock in Philly. Has located 2 at nearby Dealers but they must be hesitant to give them up. Guess I'm supposed to wait until ????.

Maybe I should just take the journey to the other Dealer!

G70 does not come in Polar Ice.

If you have already done your test drives and know that you want it there shouldn't be a need to drive there. Send emails to the two dealers with inventory and see what type of deal you can make. I would think you should be getting 4% or so before any rebates or incentives.

I was going to send you to the G80 price thread but just noticed you posted on there on Sunday that you have done a deal already, did that fall through?

OTD price for G80 with or without pkg

No the deal didn't fall through. Dealer called today and told me he's trading for one of those cars and will have it at Cherry Hill Monday. I'll be picking it up Wednesday.
