Is it possible to download the file and update the SD card to carplay without going through MyHyundai? I bought my car used and can't register it at the moment because it's registered to the previous owner. I emailed Hyundai consumer affairs to get it switched but in the meantime my SD card doesn't work for my car (replacement ordered by CarMax) and after speaking with the local Hyundai dealer it can be resolved with the update. He offered to do it for me for $150 and I politely said no thanks (wanted to tell him to go eff himself but didn't). Does this download require registration through the site?

I will jump in and go along with your questions. I have a 2015 3.8 HTRAC and since I purchased used I cannot register the car. I have sent in all paperwork through the website but I have not been able to officially add in my car, it has been two weeks.

I called in and they had me email the information to their consumer affairs email address. I did that Thursday, they responded on Friday saying they received it and had it cleared yesterday morning. I registered it and downloaded the update. It’s working perfectly. I was told they have been having issues with uploaded documents through the site. Call them and get a case number. They’ll have you squared away in a few days.

It tells you what number to call when you get the error message on the MyHundai website...
