  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Got at 15 CPO 5.0 @ 23k now @ 37K. I believe the dealer replaced 2 of the Continentals before selling to me, I assume they replaced the back tires cause the fronts are starting to look worn in comparison. Looking for recommendations, but I'm interested in this YOKOHAMA ADVAN SPORT A/S 50K rated. I've had good luck with in the past. Not a bad price on these comparatively. I wish Goodyear had a comparable tire for the 5.0. Their tripletread tires are outstanding. Or should I stay with the Conti's. I live in the South so Snow isn't a big deal, but rain is. Thoughts?

I personally just bought some high performance summer tires for my 5.0. I bought Falken FK510 tires. The car handle like it on rails now and stop on a dime.

There are many threads on this topic. Lots of folks with complaints about the Conti's for one reason or another. I changed out my (problematic) Conti's for Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3+.

I see a lot of people discussing winter tires, not a lot of talk about 5.0 tires. Just curious those with 15 or 17 5.0's if they are still on Conti or not. Just trying to get the best bang for the buck. I saw 2 sets of Conti ProContact TX on Discount Tire, with different pricing. Further investigation reveals the cheaper set fronts are W speed rated, and the backs are Y rated. Goodyear doesn't even make a tire in the front size that is Y rated, which I found odd. The Yokohoma is Y rated on both. Not like I plan to over 130, but you never know.

I've had the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's on my 2015 Camaro SS, and I will be putting them on my new to me 2015 5.0 soon. Fantastic tire for the price, excellent wet and dry traction too.

My Falken FK510 tires have 93Y(245/40-19 front) and 100Y(275/35-19 rear) tire ratings which mean my tires are rated for +189mph speeds for exotic car use. Speeds that my Genesis will never see.:)

This is the setup I’m interested in doing how is it going for you? Was installation easy?

The Falken FK510 tires are performing well so far. They grip well in the rain and handles great when the road is dry. I like them. Time will tell if the tread life last long enough for me to purchase them again.

I cannot compare them to the stock Hankook all season tires because my Genesis had Michelin Pilot A/S +3 all season tires when I purchased it so I never driven the car with the stock Hankook tires. However, the Falken summer tires handles slightly better than my old Michelin all season tires in the rain and the dry roads. Not bad considering the price difference. I did however lose my ability to drive my Genesis on icy roads with the Falken FK510 tires.

The installation was easy I suppose like any other tire.

mainly meant the sizes if they are running ok? I’m looking to do a staggered setup with the same sizes.
