How does purchasing work in Canada?

I keep hearing about this "conquest" rebate. What is that and why is it called that?

BTW, is that Mallorca Blue color darker than the Adriatic? I prefer a darker blue but I can't tell on the computer screen.

It is a discount for buyers or current owners of certain brands(Usually other luxury brands). I just got it as encouragement to go forward with the car, I believe you should be able to get it in most cases.

Mallorca is a lighter blue. Adriatic is pretty much navy. Here is example of the Mallorca.

I got $500 conquest plus $3000 off due to unavailability of 3 colour combos that I was looking at. Almost had to go with the Advanced to get it in white and not have a beige interior. It all worked out in the end and a discount that I didn’t even have to ask for.

Adriatic is dark. When my GXM brought me one for the test drive, I almost thought it was black but like a midnight black instead of a jet black. It looked that way in October at 6pm!

Thanks. I wanted the Casablanca White but wife said no since she has a 2019 Sorento SXL in Snow White Pearl.

Interesting, that seems different than what I've seen. What Genesis dealership are you dealing with? Genesis of Toronto?

Interesting. That's exactly what I was hoping for...a midnight black shade. But it does look lighter than that on their website and on YT videos. Now I'm torn between choosing that, Himalayan grey, and Havana red. I saw the red in a mall showroom today and was pleasantly surprised that it is darker than the on-line pics.

You can't judge the lightness and darkness of Metallic paint until you see it in actual sunlight!

I really love my Havana red. If you are able to the paint samples they have in store will give you a pretty good idea under the showroom lights. I currently also have Ford Fusion in Magnetic Gray and I think it is a great color, it is fairly similar to Himalayan Gray. If you want a bright stand out car, the red is the way to go.

i ordered mine online in March, took delivery 5 months later since the 6MT was a late release. transaction and delivery was done at my home. i would have not stepped into the dealer had a demo car been available. in my case, my demo was my car, if i went ahead with the deal. so i had to head to the dealer to minimize mileage on the car.

there's a bit of wiggle room, but not much. i got some cash deduction and a much better financing rate (0.9%), but no massive rebates or anything. Genesis gave me $4k more for my trade than any other dealer which was a big factor. just as good as a rebate and reduced the tax hit.

the only other car that i've factory ordered is my wife's Highlander, which took 6 months to come in 2015. having never bought a new car previous to that, i never realized how difficult it was to buy a new vehicle. when the two new cars we've bought average 5.5 months wait time, that is a deal breaker for many folks. wasn't for us, but still.

I got the 0.9%, 1k Conquest, and 1k trim financing rebate. The 0.9% was huge because it is over 1k in savings by itself!
